Description
*This application is for Galaxy Buds+ and Galaxy Buds Live. Support for Galaxy Buds (SM-R170) is not available.
Open the charging case.
On your mobile device, tap Settings -> Bluetooth and then connect earbuds and mobile devices.
Launch the Samsung Galaxy Buds app, and the follow the on-screen instructions to complete the connection.
* The Samsung Galaxy Buds application connects Samsung Galaxy Buds+ and Samsung Galaxy Buds Live to your iPhone.
* Use the Samsung Galaxy Buds application to set up and manage the following features.
- Connect to and disconnect from a mobile device
- Earbuds & Charging Case battery status
- Ambient Sound (Samsung Galaxy Buds+ only)
- Active Noise Cancelling (Samsung Galaxy Buds Live only)
- Equalizer Setting
- Touchpad Setting
- Advanced Feature
- Find my Earbuds
- Earbuds Software Update
* Compatibility:
- iPhone 7 or later models with the iOS 10 and higher version
- The Galaxy Buds application is not compatible with Galaxy Buds (SM-R170)
* Settings and features provided by the Galaxy Buds application are only available when Galaxy Buds+ or Galaxy Buds Live is connected to your mobile device. Features will not work properly without a proper connection between your earbuds and your mobile device.

Support for new Buds?
I have been using this app with my Galaxy buds+ and was happy with the app and the headphones until today. I’ve decided to change to Buds Pro, however i was shocked that Samsung doesn’t support Pros in the app. I would like to know if Samsung is planning to add support to Pros(or buds 2) and I would like to see another answer than which you were writing whole year or of if Samsung decided to abandon this app. Thanks!

Dear user, thank you for your interest. So far, the Galaxy Buds app in iOS supports only two models, the Buds+ and Buds Live. We'll let you know if there's any update on the matter.
Galaxy Buds (mk1) not supported
How convenient for Samsung to bury a 2 year old piece of hardware. I switched to iPhone from a Samsung device and now there is no way for me to manage the firmware on my Galaxy Buds. I understand that old devices lose support eventually, but it's only been two years.. I bought wireless headphones for them to last longer.. Well.. A reason more to get AirPods I guess.

Dear user, we're sorry for the inconvenience it may cause. The older generation of Galaxy Buds will not work in iOS.
Galaxy Buds+ and Live has improved its performance and usability through an enhancement of both the hardware and software. Especially, by having a new chip that has a better connectivity and memory, the newer generation of Galaxy Buds+ and Live are compatible with iOS devices. Since iOS compatibility is made possible through the new chip, it is supported only for Galaxy Buds+ and Live at the moment. Thank you for your understanding.
no support for the latest models
That is total ambiguous decision. In order to setup my galaxy buds 2 now I have to connect to my windows 10 station. They believe by not supporting the new models on ios will force my hand into changing my phone to a samsung device? That is such a wise marketing move… makes a lot of sense, lol.
