AirChord 2 4+

Mit Hilfe von AirChord kann ich die Musik von meinen Plattenspieler über meine HomePods hören. Der Plattenspieler ist über einen Adapter mit einem iPod Touch verbunden, vom iPod wird die Musik mittels AirChord und AirPlay an meine HomePods übertragen.

There is only one name for this app: fantastic! With it, I don't need a stereo system, I just need my HomePod to play records. The operation is self-explanatory and there are no puzzles. Just connect the turntable via USB preamplifier and a suitable adapter to the Line or Lightning connector of your iPhone or iPad - done. I'm using a USB 3 camera adapter, which makes it work great.

Currently AirChord supports Airplay 1 and therefore only transmits the audio signal to one HomePod. If you have two HomePods connected to a stereo pair, you will only hear the audio signal on one HomePod. But maybe the friendly developer, who by the way reacts immediately to inquiries and helps with configuration problems, will soon release an update for AirPlay 2.

Dear Developer, thank you very much for this App and your time you have invested to make us happy. The functionality is flawless. My setup: Pro-Ject Debut White —> Pro-Ject Phono Box USB —> Lightning Camera Adapter III —> My iPhone —> HomePods in all rooms. Compared with my previous Sonos Setup with Port here some notes: The delay is equal (or little faster) to Port (with long Puffer selected as it is important for stability). The sound quality is great like Sonos. The connection is a bit more stable as Sonos.
