This is the official app for BoardGameGeek, an online resource and community that aims to be the definitive source for board game and card game content. Daily new content, continuously updated by millions of passionate users, makes ‘the Geek’ the largest and most up-to-date place to get gaming information. You can become a registered member of BoardGameGeek (BGG) for free, and we welcome your contributions in the form of ratings, reviews, and thoughts on games!
BGG features reviews, ratings, images, play-aids, translations, and session reports from board game geeks around the world, as well as live discussion forums.
Here you’ll find many types of board games, including thousands you’ve probably never seen in a store. We cover not only board games but also dice games, card games, tile-laying games, and games of dexterity. We have abstracts, economic games, dungeon crawls, city building, diplomacy and negotiation, trading, puzzle games, strategy games, party games, war games, and many more. We run the gamut from the light and whimsical Carcassonne to the serious and heavy empire-building of Twilight Imperium: Fourth Edition. Well-known games like Monopoly exist in the database as well, although you’ll find almost all users prefer modern games that exhibit advancements in game play and component quality since Monopoly was first published.

Nice App…
but in my opinion it, there are still some must-have-features that need to be added, because at the moment those are only available in third party-apps. For my case especially: please implement the filters of the advanced features from the website into the app. I‘d like to sort and filter my own games in the way like it is possible on the website. The discovery function for games you don‘t own is already great. But actually i don‘t have a total benefit of clicking on „random game“, most games on there i will never buy or play… why is this feature not available for the games i own, to decide what to play today. Please make it possible to organize the own games (categories, number of playERs, duration …). Normally i would instantly use a third-party-app but my girlfriend also wants to use it but all the syncing is really annoying and we hate too use many different apps for one thing: boardgames. Please think about these improvements and 5 stars and a annual subscription will be save. Please excuse my bad english, best regards from Germany 😉
Nette UI, aber Kommentieren nicht möglich
Man kann leider keine Texte schreiben. Sobald man die Tastatur öffnet, um zu kommentieren, kann man nicht im Eingabefeld Text eingeben. Als würde etwas über dem Textfeld liegen.

there is one big negativ point for me. If you want to see your collection, the thumbnails are way to small. Please make them bigger like in the Top 100.
