For such a simple app, it has a lot of issues. First off, the app’s interface is Japanese and there’s no way to change it (the help function claims you can change it in your device settings, but that’s not true. I got Japanese enabled on my device, but it’s not the primary language and the app ignores this). The app also often crashes, needs ages to load books, seems to reload all the time, requires me to re-log so that I can synch new books and doesn’t remember the correct page where I left off. It’s really unfortunate that Bookwalker has such tight DRM. I’d love to just use their store and read the books on a properly functioning ereader app.

After your App changed to English, you should be able to change your devices language setting back to before.We appreciate your kind understanding.

Too bad, would be a nice app, but my book never loads. And when it does, it starts at page one and when I go to the page I want to read it’s just all white again.

If you want to buy stuff they redirect you to their homepage...So the only use this app has is to keep you logged in on your account and get your device data...If I could use the app similar to the iBook app and be able to buy/subscribe through the app itself by paying with my iTunes balance I would give 4-5 Stars, but this crap right now...

Actually this is not only referring to the bookwalker app but also their website. App an Website are stuck in time. Look and feel like 2010. As long as they get money they don’t need to improve right? The performance is horrible. The reader does not allow to scroll, honestly every online manga and e-reader is better by far. Customisation of the unsightly library is per device instead of the whole account. Coin ranks are of no significance unless you dump a big amount of money each month. The eBooks you buy can‘t be downloaded like from Amazon. Only for pseudo offline use in their bad reader. Sad but I would recommend buying from Amazon instead. Not recommend!!!
