The Common Language App offers the capability to scan and upload network equipment CLEI Code barcodes to an inventory management system. The App allows field maintenance, warehouse, and network planning and operations personnel easier access to scan and lookup equipment attributes and inventory data when they are on-site. The App can also be used to scan a CLEI Code barcode and transmit that information for real-time entry in an asset management system. These enhanced capabilities allow CLEI Code subscribers the ability to manage their network equipment more efficiently which will provide lower network latency and higher reliability.
The Common Language App also allows users to view a dynamic map displaying Network Site CLLI codes nearest to the user. The location of the user is derived using the GPS coordinates of the user’s mobile device. Network Sites CLLI locations nearest to the user are displayed on the map using special marker icons, which are color coded to indicate the status of the Network Site. Selecting a Network Site CLLI on the map displays a pop-out window listing various attributes associated with the Network Site.
