This is an experimental app to better understand our relationship with AI from a human-centered perspective. The hope is that they can be useful to us as a long-term companions/assistant. The app is free for the moment and while data is stored on the cloud, it is private and easily erasable by the user with two clicks. There are no backups, soft deletions, or caches. Why did I build this?
- The goal of this app is to give AI a personality, each representing a different part of our lives. As we develop a relationship with our AI and share more about our stories, the better it gets to know us. Imagine what kind of advice it can give us after a few months or even a few years of conversations.
How is this different from ChatGPT?
- This app is powered by ChatGPT's AI (3.5-turbo and 4) with a customized UI for an improved user experience and context management. Unlike ChatGPT's UI, we're able to easily create and manage separate contexts for each part of our lives, which results in better-organized conversations and reduced hallucinations from the AI.
What features are included?
- Basic features, give you the ability to create two characters that run on GPT-3.5-turbo. The conversations are lifelike, however, the characters use short-term memory and will lose context after really really long conversations.
- Advance beta features (only available to test users currently), use GPT-4 for advanced reasoning, provide lifetime memory, as well as the ability to upload and query documents.
Are these photos of real people?
- Absolutely not, these people don't exist in reality, they are generated by AI, specifically Stable Diffusion's AI.
How seriously can I take the advice from your AI?
- OpenAI has trained ChatGPT from many data sources, including the internet. Treat your conversations exactly as you would with the research you do on the internet; much of it can be true but there's inaccurate or fake information out there (AI hallucinations). Always consult with your real-world professionals and experts and use our app as entertainment.
