THE SITUATION
The world is a hive of distractions, multi-tasking, and cultural ADD. Many sit down to write and watch hours vanish with nothing to show but a trail of browser tabs. Flowstate is a response to the amphetaminic digital age. It frees the writer to turn on, tune in, and open up.
HOW IT WORKS
Choose how long you want to write (5, 15, 30 min), then enter a flow session. If you exit early, or stop typing for longer than five seconds, all progress is lost. The only way to save your work is by writing until the timer ends.

Good tool for a job; buggy on macOS Big Sur

This app is a great tool for a specific job: get productive with writing for a specified amount of time. I use this app very often to reach my daily writing limit.Unfortunately, on macOS 11 (Big Sur) the app crashes under various circumstances. I hope there will be an update soon.

This app is designed for a single purpose, to keep you writing. You chose a time, you start writing, you have to keep writing or your text is gone. It is a simple trick that helped me get over writers block countless times. It is my number one productivity hack and the one app I can’t do without. Love it. Five stars.
Geniale Idee aber umsetzung schlecht!

- Im Schreibmodus bekommt man einen schönen weißen Hintergrund aber bei editieren wird alles schwarz wie auf den Screenshots.- Auf den Screenshots sieht man den Text schön mittig gehalten aber in wirklichkeit fängt er schon sehr nah an der ecke an, also schreibt die ganze Zeit ganz links und hat rechts extrem viel Platz. Auf einem iMac Display ist der Vollbildmodus ein Qual.- Die schaltflächen kommen mir vor als ob diese für einen Touchscreen gemacht sind und nicht für den Mac. Der Typische Apple Style kommt nicht rüber.

I wish I could write a different review.This app _used_ to be great. The concept behind it is sound and works really well.Unfortunately the last update was, as of now (Feb. 2022), over two years ago and now the app is in a state of neglect and riddled with problems.
