See your map one period at a time. • Time view: tap the Time button to show only what you explored in a given year. Each year holds every area you moved through that year, even places you had revealed before. • Monthly coverage (Full): keep a map of every month under Settings > Time history, revisited streets included. Months can be merged into their year later. Your history never leaves your device. • A fuller bottom bar for Full users: the Time and Settings buttons now sit alongside the tracking controls. Notes, Session archive and the map style stay in the swipe-up tray. • A new fog rendering method: fog is drawn as map tiles that stay locked to the map while you pan and zoom. The previous renderer remains available under Settings > Advanced. • Smoother camera flights: flying to a note, your location or an archived session now reveals the destination during the flight instead of at the end. • Backups can include your time history. Export asks whether to include years or months. FogMap 1.3 opens both kinds of files; a file exported without time history can also be imported into FogMap 1.2. • Clearing map data now also clears the time history. • Fixed the locate button, which could stop responding after repeated taps. • Settings > What's New reopens these release notes at any time.

Better tracking in weak signal Trips where the signal drops in and out - trains, ferries, tunnels, remote stretches - should now record more of the route. Weak GPS is still weak GPS, but FogMap gives up much less easily. Settings, tidied up The fine-grained controls now live behind Advanced, right under Background tracking. Nothing was removed and none of your settings changed - base cell size, gap filling and render detail simply moved one level deeper. New in the Full version "Stay ready to track" (Settings > Advanced > Experimental) lets FogMap watch for movement itself instead of waiting for iOS to wake it, which helps on long trips where a wake-up arrives late or never. It stays off unless you turn it on, and it increases battery usage. And a new app icon.
