Grim Quest tries to blend tabletop RPG vibes, familiar dungeon crawling and roguelike mechanics, and a classic turn-based combat system into an accessible and entertaining package. Because of its attention to written storytelling, detailed worldbuilding and abundance of lore, Grim Quest can be similar to a solo Dungeons and Dragons campaign, or even a choose your own adventure book.

Grim Quest is a single player game and can be played offline. It has no lootboxes, energy bars, overpriced cosmetics, content locked behind endless microtransactions, or other modern monetization schemes. Just a one-time purchase for the full game, and completely optional goodies for those who wish to support the game and its development.

Love it!

This is a unique way of story telling and adventure. It reminds me a little of a dnd campaign. Just solo. There is no skill needed to play and it takes no quick time events and is generally very calm and addicting.

Perfekter Zeitvertreib für zwischendurch

Das Spiel macht das was soll so gut das es einen nach kurzer Zeit in den Bann zieht und man sofort komplett auf dieses Spiel konzentriert ist!

Allerdings kleiner Punkt Abzug da man doch etwas Länger brauch um Fortschritt zu machen.

Nice at first sight, too heavy then

It‘s been really nice walking through the dungeons, levelling up and looting. Well done. However, soon as I went up to char level 10 and began wandering the glacial pass, the enemy strength went up ridiculously. Even when re-entering the first/beginner‘s dungeon, foes are ridiculously strong all of a sudden, so that I always die or flee the dungeon, losing money. My char development is therefor stuck, I cant improve my skills or anything, because my only options are to die or to flee losing my money. The game was really fun for the first 10 char levels, from then turning into an annoying royal pain. Why are the enemies all of a sudden so incredible powerful? Thumbs down for this, I regret buying it.

You can not only reduce, but customize and fine-tune the game difficulty to your preferences. No reason to give up on your first try (character), it's not one of those ista-win games :)
