Everything you love about The Recipe Box has been lovingly frosted with swirls of vanilla mirror glaze and dark chocolate ganache, making every pixel glisten. The joy of cooking with our app is infectious, bringing smiles and delight to host and guest alike. We curated every mint sprig and dollop of raspberry purée to add elegant simplicity to the virtual plate. We hope you enjoy the scrumptious the new look, and of course we are tickled about our cheerful kitchen timer. It slices; it dices.
Ok, enough hyperbole (we're really excited!!). Our new timer feature will start a countdown with a tap on the recipe step. Control it from within the app, or from your iPhone's home screen. Switch between recipe timers with ease. We've been setting off timers just to listen to the chime.
Import recipes from the web (it's addictive!) - with expanded external browser support. Look for that signature ripe raspberry icon in any other web browser to import instantly.
You'll love sharing your recipes with friends and family, keeping those flavors of home circulating generation after generation.
Developed by foodies who love their Apple devices, this 21st-century cooking tool helps you get your recipes into a quickly-sorted, easily shared format that can’t be misplaced, covered in stains, or catch on fire. When recipes are easy to collect, easy to retrieve and easy to read, you can focus on the pleasures of preparing delicious food.
A word on our in app purchases: We're not gatekeeping - We don't charge subscriptions, track your whereabouts, sell your info, or make you watch ads, and we plan to keep it that way. But of course, we think this upgrade deserves a tip of the hat. If we've added more value to your life than our purchase price, consider a top-up once in a while. We appreciate it.

Love it, wish it were easier to synch iPhone and iPad apps

I’ve been using the iPad version for years and love it. More recently I stumbled across the iPhone app, which I also purchased. I don’t regret the “double” purchase at all — I mostly use the iPad in the kitchen at home, the “To Go” version when making shopping lists or when I’m cooking in someone else’s home, or just when the iPhone is quicker to hand. The first time I transferred my saved recipes from the iPad to the iPhone it took a few minutes, but that was manageable. Really. But I’m noticing that when I add new recipes on the one device (mostly iPad), or edit existing recipes, getting them to the iPhone is a bit clunky. If I’m organized and immediately export a new recipe from one device to the other, that works fairly well (although sometimes RB To Go doesn’t execute the import on my first try — I don’t think that’s me, but hard to know). But who’s that organized? I often forget to update until a few new recipes are waiting for transfer, so I then have to compare the two lists to see what’s new. With about 200 recipes, that’s tedious and prone to errors. And there are often recipes that want tweaking, and it’s really hard to keep those in sync if I don’t transfer them immediately (what did I say about my organizational habits?-)Ih short: I would absolutely, five-star love to have an automated synching feature. Perhaps a “master” copy kept in my iCloud storage? (I’m reasonably platform-agnostic here, I have accounts on most popular Cloud storage services, and even the free accounts should provide enough storage to handle a Recipe Box backup). I realize that this is a fairly major feature request. But I hope you’re make me five-star happy some day!

Hello, we’ve released an update for your iPad and hopefully your recipe link feature will work better. Thanks for writing!
Good basic

A good app for storing recipes with shopping list.A plus: all pre-installed recipes can be deleted (and re-installed).Adding new recipes is easy and simple. The ingredient list is pure text and therefore simple and universal. The categories can be edited, which makes them universal too.Still, I would like to see a German localisation (this would add a fifth star).
Very Nice! 4.75 Stars ;)

I love this app, it's pretty easy to handle, type in your own recipes or import from websites.I love the step by step directions, you can mark steps you've done that's pretty comfortable and clearly. Also sync, add to cart and "in the pantry" work really fine! I'm in germany and so it would be great, to be able to import from more foreign sites. Not because of the language, because of the ingredients. Some are not easy to get here ;) One of my suggestions was kochbar.de for example. But what I miss more: it would be great if the app would calculate different servings! If your recipe is good for 4 servings, simply type in 6 serving and it calculates the ingredients :)It's very close to 5 stars, with a possibility to calculate servings I'll give a 5 star rating :)
