Gute Alternative zum klassischen RDP-Client

Mittlerweile habe ich einige Zeit damit gearbeitet. Es gibt viel Gutes und wenig Schlechtes zu berichten. Das jump-eigene Protokoll ist schnell und flüssig und man wird nicht „umgemeldet“ wie bei RDP, sondern bekommt direkt seinen eigenen Desktop. Das meiste wurde ja bereits geschrieben. Unschönheiten für mich sind: Ich hab bis heute nicht die Monitor-Einstellungen verstanden, hier war viel trial-and-error angesagt. Tastatur-Mapping hab ich in den globalen Einstellungen etwas gefunden, massig Tasten die man konfigurieren kann, das werd ich mir mal genauer anschauen. Daher lediglich meine Bitte: die Monitor-Einstellungen vernünftig machen. Wenn ich z.B. Vollbild auf 2 Monitoren möche, macht Jump am Anfang 1 Vollbild und 1 Fenster, was ich manuell auf den 2. Monitor schieben muß und dann Vollbild auswählen (ich benutze getrennte Workspaces pro Monitor). Aber das wird schon.
Sensationelle Hilfe

Eine unglaubliche Hilfe bei Homeoffice und sonstigen Fernwartungstätigkeiten. Was ich leider noch nicht in den Griff bekommen habe, ist die Nutzung der Spracherkennung von PC/Mac auf PC/Mac. Dies funktioniert allerdings problemlos von iOS auf PC/Mac.Letztlich fehlt mir noch eine Skalierung von PC/Mac auf PC/Mac, die ebenfalls unter iOS problemlos läuft. Das ist dann sinnvoll, wenn man von einem kleinen Bildschirm (z.B. Notebook) einen Rechner mit großer Auflösung steuern möchte. Ja, ich kann natürlich an dem zu steuernden Computer die Auflösung anpassen. Das sieht unbedingt schön aus, wenn alle Icons durcheinanderpurzeln. Aus diesem Grund wäre eine Skalierung, wie sie bei iOS/iPadOS möglich ist (per Finger) wünschenwert.Vielen Dank für das Programm/App.

Jump Desktop ist wirklich sehr schnell. Ich hatte bisher mit Remotix gearbeitet. Hier hatte ich aber öfters das Problem, das sich RDP nicht immer verbunden hat. Ein weiteres Manko war die Unterstützung des aktivierten Nummernblocks. Hier hatte ich mit Jump Desktop bisher keinerlei Schwierigkeiten. Der Datenaustausch zwischen Mac und RDP oder zwischen RDPs funktioniert einfach über Copy & Paste. Bei Remotix muss ein weiteres Fenster eingeblendet werden. Jump Desktop bietet ein sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Die Alternativen, wie Remotix, Microsoft, CoRD und ähnliches hängt Jump Desktop in Sachen Geschwindigkeit locker ab. Sehr gutes und stabiles Programm. Ich habe den Wechsel bisher nicht bereut.
Gute Alternative zu z.B. RealVNC

Gute Alternative zu RealVNC. Funktioniert bis jetzt einwandfrei mit PC, MAC und Linux. Leider kostet die Version auf dem MAC ein paar Euro. Aber für einen Privatmann günstiger, als RealVNC, deren Lizenzmodell für Privatpersonen unmöglich ist. Die Windows-Version ist zwar etwas eingeschränkt, aber kostenlos. Die MAC-Version ist dafür komplett. Natürlich kann man auch eine allgemeine Lizenz kaufen, die sich aber erst lohnt, wenn man geschäftlich mit der Software arbeitet.Da ich tatsächlich mit allen Betriebssystemen gleichzeitig arbeite, ist Jump für mich ein gutes Tool.
