Amen break - coming from the late 60's is one of the most famous drum loops sampled and remixed in hundreds of jungle, drum'n'bass and hiphop records. This six-second clip spawned several entire subcultures and gained massive fame among DJ's, producers and music fans. We bring you the Amen Break Generator - a vintage-looking loop player designed for a real-time generating of infinite combinations of this famous break! You can remix the loop with your fingers, use looper and nonstop beat randomising algorithm and add various DSP effects. FEATURES: • Audio Unit v3 Support: Includes MIDI capabilities such as transport messages, slice triggering and loop selection using MIDI notes and running multiple instances • 16 Manual Trigger Buttons: Tempo-synced triggering of breaks for dynamic and creative control. • Live Remixing Effects: Instantly apply effects like Freeze, Step Randomization, Auto-Retrigger, and more to remix breaks in real-time. • Free-Play Mode: Manually trigger beat slices even when playback is stopped. • Built-in Looper: A powerful tool that repeats the last 16 steps of the played sequence, enabling seamless looping and overdubbing for effortless creativity. • Vintage-Inspired Graphics: Bitmaps in steam-punk style that enhance your experience. • 4 DSP Effects: Includes Ring Modulator, Stereo Hi-Pass Filter, Flanger, and Degrader for diverse sound manipulation. • Live WAV Recording: Capture your performance in high-quality WAV format, accessible directly in the iPhone’s Files app. • Custom Loop Import: Load up to 8 custom loops in WAV format. • 7 additional classic drum loops included for even more creative fun!

Hell ya, this is so great to play with and makes more people doing creative stuff. It is absolutely worth every penny and loads of fun to play. Best idea to remake it!

It’s not a Drum Maschine.

A bit expensive for some fun

This app is definitely fun to use, but not really for creating stuff. There are couple effects and functions to use, which seems sadly a bit too minimalistic or sometimes just useless (like the restart button). The pads are also too small to play in “live mode”, although there are good samples to remix. I think it’s an app for having a bit fun and feel like Venetian snares for a couple minutes, but it’s definitely nothing serious. Someone who expects a music creation tool should switch to ableton for just 6€ more. I definitely recommend this app, if this app evolves into a real musical instrument which is practical and usable I would love to pay more for it. Otherwise it’s just an app to cure your boredom for a high price - compared in the similar price range for serious music apps.

What a blast. Unfortunately a bug.

This is so much fun to play with, and it is very useful too. Unfortunately, there’s a bug when recording, which is why I cannot give the full five stars. The remix feature will always return to the perfect place in the loop. The 1 will stay 1, no matter how much you remix. This is how it should be. But if you record, the first time you use the RMX feature, it will lose its place in the loop.
