No Biometric Login Yet, Weak Integration

Earlier this year, Proton promised new features, including biometric login integration for the browser extension, to be released in the spring. However, as of now, there are still two separate, unconnected components: a standalone macOS desktop app (not available via the App Store) and a Safari extension. Unfortunately, the extension still requires setting a password or PIN—or even allows leaving it unprotected, which is a security concern. The lack of integration and continued absence of biometric support is disappointing. Therefore, only three stars.

- Autofill now works inside iframe-embedded login forms (banks, OAuth, payment pages)
- Admin panel now accessible from the extension sidebar
- Improved passkey support for sites using cross-origin authentication
- Pass Monitor: removed the back button, added "Exclude from monitoring" to the item menu
- Fixed password preference (random vs. passphrase) not being remembered
- Fixed identity email field being skipped during autofill
- Fixed Pass icon misalignment when Bitwarden is also installed
- Improved clickjacking protection for autofill
- Fixed autofill icon not responding after changing page zoom
