I’ve used the app for a month after I subscribed for the full version. In principle I see how this method can work and definitely liked how it made me say out loud more German. However, the app is very repetitive and not intuitive (you are either shown an unsorted list of phrases or a practice tab). The “method” is completely unclear. It shows me that I make errors when I say phrases out loud, however it does not provide any feedback as to what I can do to improve. Next time when the app asks me to repeat the phrase, I make the same mistakes and it shows me “let’s review it again”. All the phrases are not level graded, so you might end up with some very complicated phrases you need to repeat at a very high pace. It is kinda ok as I have a decent level of prior knowledge of German, but I don’t see how this “method” will work for a complete beginner. I do believe this app needs some major re-work and update.

Audio only mode is gone 😢 this was the only mode I used in the old app.The dictation mode does not work at all. It records my voice (I can play it back) but the app says it can’t recognize it even though I can hear it clearly. Dictation has the problem that the audio sentences are in many times different from the audio. I don’t want to memorize which sentences translation made which mistake.
