Eine feine und nützliche App im Zusammenhang mit einem selbstgerosteten Dawarich Server. Es funktioniert alles so, wie vom Entwickler dargestellt. Bis auf Kleinigkeiten fehlt erst mal nichts. Schön wäre die Möglichkeit, abhängig von z.B. einem WLAN das Tracking ein- und auszuschalten. Vielleicht über Kurzbefehle. Auch ein automatisches Tracking in Abhängigkeit selbst erstellter Zonen wäre nützlich. Mal sehen wie die App sich entwickelt. Fein, weiter so.Nachtrag: Die App wird besser. Die Updates bringen wirklich mehr Funktionen und Kompfort. Eine Sache ist mir in der Zeit aufgefallen. Es gibt keine richtige Backup-Funktion. Weder auf der Server Seite, noch in der iOS App. Wer sich mit Docker richtig auskennt wird evtl. eine Möglichkeit finden. Dies ist aber unabhängig von Dawarich. Es gibt zwar eine manuelle Exportfunktion auf der Server Seite, die kann jedoch nicht automatisiert werden noch habe ich es hinbekommen den Export in einen anderen Dawarich Container (andere Platform) zu importieren. Dies sollte man sich bewusst sein wenn man so wie ich, mehre Monate Daten gesammelt hat. Die Funktion alle Tracks erneut aus der App an den Server zu senden hilt schon weiter. Kann aber kein richtiges Backup ersetzen. Ferner habe ich gesehen, dass es jetzt eine Dawarich Cloud gibt. Super für alle die sich mit einem eigenen Server (ist wirklich nicht einfach) auseinandersetzten möchten. Doch der Preis der dafür aufgerufen wird ist wirklich abitioniert. Das würde ich nicht zahlen. Dies ändert jedco nichts an der Qualität der App.

Ich idiot habe mir das selbe in schlecht mit Homeassistant, Influx und Grafana gebastelt.Dann das Projekt entdeckt und seither ein absoluter Fan!Gibt zwar noch viele Baustellen aber die Grundfunktion ist gegeben und Updates kommen am laufenden Band.

Eigene Daten auf eigenem Server

Ich liebe die App. Sie läuft einfach nur so im Hintergrund und zeichnet alles auf. Synchronisiert wird es immer wenn ich zuhause bin oder das VPN anmache mit meinem Heimserver. Auch Shortcuts, die die Aufzeichnung automatisch starten und stoppen, wenn ich das zuhause oder den Arbeitsplatze verlasse bzw. ankomme, funktionieren super. Das einzige was ich schade sehr schade finde, ist dass ich mir alte Aufzeichnungen nicht zuverlässig anschauen kann. Da verschwinden dann vor meinen Augen wegpunkte und ich bekomm sie auch nicht wieder angezeigt. Das muss ich über den Browser machen. Da geht’s.

Super Idee, aber irgendwie zu manuell

Ich habe nach einer Alternative für Life Cycle gesucht, die App trackt im Hintergrund an welchen Locations man so war.Das klappt dauerhaft, ohne dass man es mitbekommt. Da Dawarich ja als Google Timeline Ersatz beworben wird, hatte ich eigentlich gedacht es wäre genau so im Hintergrund nutzbar, jedoch muss die App immer geöffnet werden und wenn das Tracking dann aktiv ist, dann habe ich in den live activities immer den Navigationspfeil, der bei anderen Apps nicht zu sehen ist, leider ist mir unklar, woran das liegt.
