Happy Coder is the secure mobile companion for Codex and Claude Code that lets you continue your AI coding sessions anywhere (not affiliated with Anthropic or OpenAI). Built by developers who needed to check on their AI assistant's progress during coffee breaks, this app brings the full Codex and Claude Code experience to your phone with military-grade encryption.
**Important**: This app requires Codex or Claude Code to be installed on your computer. Happy Coder is a companion app that connects to your existing Codex or Claude Code setup.

Happy Coder uses the same encryption as Signal (TweetNaCl) and is completely open source. Your encryption keys never leave your device, and all data is encrypted before transmission.

*New Session Composer*
- Rebuilt session creation screen — pick machine, agent, model, permissions, and worktree from one place. Drafts persist across navigation. Offline machines visible with "last seen" timestamps.
*Git Worktrees*
- Create new or select existing worktrees when starting sessions. Smart cleanup on delete/archive (checks for uncommitted changes and shared sessions first).
*Voice Assistant*
- 1 hour free, then subscription required. Bring-your-own ElevenLabs agent option in Settings > Voice. Cross-session support, prompt queuing during speech, and VAD-based speaking indicators. Fixed stuck "connecting" state.
*Multi-Agent*
- OpenClaw added as 4th agent. Updated model names (Claude opus/sonnet 4.6, Codex gpt-5.3/5.4). "Bypass" renamed to "Yolo" with sandboxed badge. Auto plan-mode switching. Dynamic model/mode selectors from backend metadata.
*Session Management*
- Long-press/right-click quick actions (Details, Archive, Copy Metadata). Instant archive (no confirmation). Delete always available. Disconnected sessions show copyable resume CLI command. Push notifications now deep-link to sessions. CLI availability shown on machine detail.
*Rendering*
- Codex patches show full inline diffs. Markdown tables support rich formatting. Links work on web. Internal tool calls (thinking, ToolSearch) hidden. Bash commands render correctly for all agents.
*Performance & Reliability*
- Expo SDK 55. Mobile web Enter key inserts newline.
