Download the original photos and videos you want to keep, or save a Live Photo's original still and motion clip separately.
BACK UP YOUR PHONE PHOTOS TO YOUR COMPUTER
Back up original photos, videos and Live Photo companion clips in monthly packages to organize trips, family moments and everyday photos in manageable batches. Retry failed items separately. Once you have saved and checked the files and confirmed the export, the next incremental export skips confirmed, unchanged items to reduce repeat downloads. You start each export yourself; always check the files you have saved.

Forgot which folder holds last week's document? Search within KimDrop's file storage by type, size or modification date. Favorite frequently used files, move related documents into project folders and preview batch renaming before applying it in the browser. Open supported ZIP, RAR and 7Z archives to get to the files inside.
TAKE YOUR LISTENING MATERIAL WITH YOU
Import your own study audio, lectures or recordings and listen during a commute or a break. Local audio supports background playback and Lock Screen and Control Center controls. Put a matching LRC beside the audio file to follow synchronized text. Play compatible videos, seek and adjust speed to revisit key moments.
PICK UP ON YOUR COMPUTER WHERE YOUR PHONE LEFT OFF
A quick note, a link you need on your computer or an attachment from another app can go to KimDrop through the system share sheet. Open KimDrop to import it into Notes or a chosen folder. Then view or edit text and download attachments in your computer browser, without using a chat app just to pass something between devices. Favorite important messages and search for them later.
CONNECT WHEN YOU NEED IT, STOP WHEN YOU'RE DONE
Use the code shown in the app; no KimDrop account is needed. Set read-only access, file changes and photo deletion separately, and stop sharing at any time. Photo deletion requires confirmation on your phone.
KEEP PERSONAL FILES BETWEEN YOUR DEVICES
Your phone and computer transfer files directly over the local network. Files are not uploaded to developer servers or passed through a developer-operated cloud. Transfer work documents, browse private photos or make a photo backup without first uploading them to a cloud drive.
BEFORE YOU CONNECT
Use trusted Wi-Fi and keep KimDrop in the foreground during browser transfers. Local connections use HTTP and are not encrypted in transit; an access code does not replace encryption. Photo exports are manual, without automatic, scheduled or background backups.
Apple Photos may retrieve iCloud-only originals over the internet when requested. Preview and playback depend on format, codec, system and browser support. KimDrop manages its own file storage, not other apps' private data. Requires iOS 16 / iPadOS 16 or later.

• New share extension: receive text, links, images and files from other apps, then open KimDrop to import into Notes or a selected folder.
