CTAS Triage is a clinical decision support tool implementing the Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale (CTAS) for adult emergency department triage, based on the Complaint Oriented Triage (COT) 2012 visual algorithm. Walk through 156 adult presenting complaints across 17 body systems. For each complaint, answer a short series of multi-select questions about vital signs, pain, bleeding disorders, mechanism of injury, and complaint-specific findings — the app computes a CTAS acuity level (I–V) with a citation back to the source algorithm slide. Sources implemented: - CTAS Complaint Oriented Triage 2012 (COT v02.03), CAEP / NENA / AMUQ / CPS - CTAS 2008 Guidelines (CJEM 2008) — modifier definitions - CTAS 2013 Revisions (Bullard MJ et al, CJEM 2014:1-5) — button-battery 2nd-order modifier and adult fever threshold - CEDIS Presenting Complaint List v1.1 (2008) — complaint taxonomy Features: - 156 adult complaint trees across 17 body systems - Verbatim option labels from the CTAS COT 2012 source slides - Source citation on every outcome screen — every acuity level traces back to a specific slide and NACRS code - Quick reference card for the 5 CTAS acuity levels with target time-to-physician and reassessment frequency - No network access, no analytics, no data collection Important: CTAS Triage is a clinical decision support tool. It does not replace clinical judgment, training, or institutional triage protocols. The triage nurse or clinician retains full responsibility for triage decisions. CTAS Triage is not a registered medical device. It has not been reviewed or approved by any regulatory authority. Outputs are advisory only. CTAS Triage is licensed for individual personal use through the App Store.
