Re-read a favorite and it gets its own line, its own rating, and its own mood, and your year credits the finish instead of replacing the first one. • Audiobooks are first-class. Track a book by time, see "At 6:42 of 16:00", and end a session at a time the way you end one on a page. Format is a list to pick from, and duplicates understand that the print copy and the audiobook are both yours on purpose. • Your year in books, and your month. Tap the yearly card, or the month on the reading calendar, for everything you finished, the ratings you gave, your hours and pages and best streak, and a wrap-up card you can share. • A Reading habit widget in five shapes: your streak and today's minutes, the last few days, or the whole month as dots or covers. • The Dashboard shows the rest of it: reading time and pages join problems and books under one Week, Month, Year control, with the period added up in a line above them, a calendar marks the days you made progress, and Most read ranks your authors and subjects by books or by hours. • Quarter stars, so a 4.75 can stay a 4.75. The Shelf 1.7 brings new features and enhancements. • Tags and lending. Tag books instead of filing them, bring your Goodreads shelves in as tags, and note who has the book you lent out. • Re-reading keeps its history. Finishing a book twice no longer erases the first time. • On iPad, books open beside the shelf. Browse the Library and read a book's page side by side, drag the divider to taste, and close the page to give the shelf its full width back. • The Map is editable. Turn on Edit prerequisites, tap one subject then another, and the link is drawn. Circles are refused, the tree reflows, and nodes fill with color as the work behind them gets done. Map as a list reads the whole tree in sentences. • Ready when you are. The Dashboard names the subjects whose groundwork looks solid and that you have not started. A suggestion, never a gate. • Sessions know what you worked on: one optional line for the journal when the clock stops, and the problems you touched while it ran. One Notes screen per book gathers everything you have written about it. • CSV import speaks your locale: semicolons, dates like 03.08.2026, ratings like 4,5, and an honest report of what it could not use. A backup can now be merged into the library you have instead of replacing it. • A shelf scan survives being interrupted, and can fetch chapters for everything it caught. The Shelf 1.6 opens the doors. • Focus, redesigned. The tab opens on the books you are reading: swipe to select a book, tap the cover to flip it over for your page and your notes, and start the clock. • An accessibility pass through the whole app: VoiceOver speaks every control, text scales to the largest accessibility sizes, Reduce Motion is honored (with an in-app switch of its own), and the colors you pick for your domains are checked for contrast. • Scan several books in a row. Keep the camera moving along a shelf, then approve one review list at the end. • Your library is in Spotlight, and Siri can start a focus session or log the reading you just did. The index stays on your device. • Settings now says where iCloud sync stands, in plain language. • Finish a book and the cover takes the stage before the confetti. The book page has a new header and sets how a book is regarded as a pull quote. • Also new: a reading journal, notes on the problems that stick, search now includes your notes, an estimate of the reading time left in a book, and a shelf location field for where a book actually lives.

One menu switches between the shelf, the prerequisite tech tree map, and the classic browse by domain and subject. • Focus is a tab now. The timer keeps running while you browse, and the lock-screen Live Activity got a redesign: your book's cover and color, plus pause and resume right on the lock screen and Dynamic Island. • Housekeeping, at last: swipe to delete books anywhere cards appear, select many and delete them at once, filter the Library by reading status, and find duplicate copies and merge them in one pass. • Fetch missing info sweeps your library for absent covers, years, page counts, and descriptions, and proposes fills you review before anything is written. Blank fields only, never overwrites. • Finish the last page, chapter, or problem and the book marks itself Completed, with a bigger confetti shower to match. The book page now shows your total time and pace, and the dashboard counts what you read today. • Fixed: JSON backups silently dropped books not filed under a subject. Backups now carry everything; export a fresh one. • Plus a full design pass: consistent confirmations everywhere, steadier animations, better empty states, and faster scrolling in big libraries.

The Shelf 1.4 puts you in charge of what progress means. • Choose where each book's progress comes from: problems solved, chapters done, or pages read. One tap on the book page, and every ring, chart, and widget follows. Completed books now always read 100 percent. Done means done. • A new view for the Library: switch between the classic Subjects and domains browse and a flat All books list, sorted by title, author, or recently added. Tap the active sort to reverse it. • Half-star ratings, at last. Tap a star's left half for the half step, or swipe across the stars to sweep the value. • Add problem sets across a whole book in one pass: a row per chapter, counts or ranges like 5.1-5.30, and a running total before anything is applied. • A new Quick add widget opens straight into adding a book, or scanning a barcode, from your home screen. The large size pairs your current book with quick add, and can pin a book of your choice. • Deleting a logged session is now a visible button, with your page position and history kept safe. • And a big round of field-test polish: pull down to search the Library, book rows that show ratings and progress, softly fading shelf edges, confirmations that appear where you expect, an easier-to-dismiss keyboard, honest messages when Open Library is busy, and smoother animations throughout.

The Shelf 1.3 makes the first minute and the first thousand books easier. • New book, rebuilt: search Open Library right in the add sheet and the form fills itself in, cover included. Manual entry and barcode scanning are one tap away. • Online Lookup now works out of the box. One toggle still switches the app fully offline. • Import a book's table of contents from Open Library, no camera needed, and re-scan books that already have chapters: merges are additive and your progress never moves. • Coming from Goodreads or a spreadsheet? CSV import brings your shelves in as Wishlist, Reading, and Completed, with a review step before anything is added.
