Cascava is the stencil design app that solves the one problem every maker dreads: floating islands. When you cut a stencil, enclosed shapes — the centre of an O, the counter of an A, the interior of a ring — lose their physical connection and fall away. Cascava detects every one of these islands automatically and computes the shortest possible bridges needed to hold them in place, so your stencil stays intact from the very first cut.
Design stencils on a live grid canvas using geometric shapes, individual letters, or photos traced directly from your camera roll. Place stamps, adjust bridge width and layer count, and watch the connectivity solver respond in real time — island count, total bridge length in millimetres, and an integrity percentage that only reaches 100% when every floating piece is anchored. Multi-layer support lets you build complex two-colour cut files, each layer tracked independently so nothing slips through.
Organise your work in a searchable document library, review a full island-and-bridge network map on the analysis screen, and learn the fundamentals through an interactive guide that lets you draw your own cells and watch live detection unfold step by step. All computation runs entirely on-device — no account, no subscription, and no internet connection required, ever.
Whether you are a sign painter, screen printer, paper crafter, or laser-cutter operator, Cascava gives you the confidence to cut knowing your design is structurally sound. Build it, bridge it, cut it.
