Until the last v4.0 it was a great and informative app providing a decent overview of all mobile OS/iOS developed by Apple Inc.• ProsThe positive aspects of this app were/are: well designed UI/UX | acceptable file size according to the purpose of this app | no IAPs | no ads | no annoying “Review Pop-ups” at all (last v4.0) | well structured and complete “Release Notes” in the “App Store” (at least from the UI/UX point of view) | the app seems to run completely offline without connecting to the internet at all (no entry under “Settings → Cellular”) 👍👍👍• ConsUnfortunately the current v4.1 introduces an annoying “Review Pop-up”, which is entirely unnecessary and therefore a very bad UI design resulting in a poor UX – even if it shows up only once it is still annoying and unnecessary. Furthermore, there is already a user-friendly “Review Button” implemented in the “About” menu of this app, so there is really no need for this annoying pop-up at all! If you want to ask the user for a review more explicitly, it would be OK to include a review request in the “Release Notes” of this app, but a “Review Pop-up” is a bad, bad idea. Thus, this useless, unnecessary and annoying “Review Pop-up” is the reason for my current 4 star rating instead of 5 👎👎👎• To the DeveloperFor future updates of this app please do not overload it with more unnecessary and in worst case annoying features. You don’t want it to become Bloatware at some point. If you are planning a new feature please think twice in advance if it is really necessary for the purpose of this app. If not just don’t bother implementing it! Even useless and unnecessary feature, which is not obviously annoying, could still be a new source for defects making the app possibly more error-prone. Sometimes less is simply more! This app was good as it was until the last v4.0. Just keep updating the relevant information and it will be great. The only thing I’ve been missing so far is the “BuildID” next to the iOS version number in the “Version History” section of the “Firmwares” menu. This would make the iOS version information more complete, imho. Therefore, for the next version please remove this useless, unnecessary and annoying “Review Pop-up”, so I can give this app a 5 star rating again. Plus, if possible you could also add the iOS “BuildID” next to the iOS version number. Cheers 😀
