“Best music theory learning app out there. I just want to say this app is completely amazing and an incredible amount of work must have gone into this. I have been looking for an app just like this to complete my learning between music classes and this has everything I need and more. I highly recommend!” —BigMat74, Oct. 20, 2023
"Absolutely phenomenal. This is better than any YouTube video, podcast, or music theory book I have read. Within 48 hours using this app I have actually comprehended what is being taught far beyond any previous comprehension for past products. Honestly they could charge more than double the amount and it would be totally worth it." —Artice, May 3, 2022

This app is everything you need to learn musictheory efficiently. The explanations are very simple to understand and not being able to skip exercises annoyed me at first but it really helps with consistency and retention. ( also the video voice is very soothing ). Normally I hate subscriptions but this app is worth it. The prices are totally reasonable and all in all this app isn’t a cashgrab where you have to pay for every course. I feel like the developers didn’t create this app solely for profit but for the love of music and sharing knowledge, which is uncommon these days. Thank you so much <3
Gute App

Hält was versprochen wird.
Ich will mein Geld zurück. Nicht nur deswegen. Die Lehrvideos bilden meist nur den gesprochenen Text ab, Klangbeispiele gibt es keine. Schade (und unverschämt), dass man kostenpflichtige Apps nicht erst testen kann!

Hey, thanks for the review, though I believe you've made two errors. 1) The minor scales discussed in Waay are the natural minor; you may be thinking of the harmonic minor? The natural minor is very common in popular music, hence our focus. (In a modal relationship like the major and natural minor, the relative major and minor keys do share the same notes.) 2) Many of the videos give sound examples. Examples of major keys, minor keys, notes that sound good together, notes that don't, chord examples, and much more. In any case, if you have any more questions about Waay, please don't hesitate to get in touch through tenkettles.com—happy to help. -Alex
Incredibly powerful but pricey

This was one of the best choices I could’ve ever made to finally get through music theory. The app is extremely well made, the structure easy to follow and the practice space piece meal enough to stick to it. The only sad part is the pricing model because I just can’t stand these overpriced subscription models. This meant that I had to power through the app and ditch it as soon as possible even though I would’ve preferred to keep practising every now and then. Other than that, a great choice.
The "Foundations" exercise has been tweaked in response to some great feedback (thanks, William M.!), and an issue with the "Repeat lesson" button has been fixed. Feedback or questions?
