Nach der Preissenkung wirklich empfehlenswert

Etwas Preishistorie: früher mit 99€ recht teuer, danach mit 19€ auf jeden Fall erschwinglich (hier habe ich gekauft) und jetzt mit 5,99 € ein echtes Schnäppchen. Während ich beim Preis von 99€ noch für die Studentenversion von Mathematica oder den Kauf eines RaspberryPis (für den Pi gibt es Mathematica gratis) argumentiert hätte, ziehe ich aktuell auf jeden Fall Mathstudio vor.Die Software erlaubt es bereits ohne tiefere Auseinandersetzung mit der zu Grunde gelegten Sprache Funktionen à la Mathematica zu nutzen. Hier ist natürlich nicht alles präsent, was in Mathematica vorhanden ist, aber ein durchaus beachtlicher Teil davon.Zusätzlich ist es durch die im Vergleich zu Mathematica deutlich bessere Syntax und Parameterübergabe bei eigenen Skripten (Mathematica-Pendant = Packages) bei ausreichend guten mathematischen Grundkenntnissen leicht möglich, Funktionen wie Interpolation nachzurüsten.Für den Eigenbedarf ist das Programm also beispielsweise für Studenten mehr als ausreichend und dazu noch recht preisgünstig. Wenn mit anderen Leuten zusammen gearbeitet werden soll, werden diese aber vermutlich nicht auf dieses Produkt setzen wollen, da es recht unbekannt ist und zudem keine aktuelle Version für Windows bzw. Linux vorhanden ist (dieser Aspekt dürfte gerade im akademischen Konntext häufig relevant sein). Da bereits eine Web-Version existiert, wäre es wünschenswert diese auch für die lokale Ausführung unter Windows und Linux zu portieren.Falls Kollaboration über verschiedene Betriebssysteme hinweg im Vordergrund steht oder man durch Auflagen den Branchenprimus verwenden muss, ist die wohl beste Low-Budget-Alternative zu Mathstudio der Kauf eines RaspberryPis - hier kann allerdings nur mit geringerer Rechenleistung gearbeitet werden und die Software läuft nicht direkt auf dem Arbeitsrechner (Remote Desktop/Screensharing geht natürlich).Was ich noch gerne sehen würde:- Autovervollständigung von Scriptnamen, am besten mit Anzeige von Information zum entsprechenden Skript - ähnlich wie das in Eclipse bei ctrl+space geschieht- export von interaktiven grafiken als alleinstehende html/javascript elemente

Documentation wrong, graphical issues, no response

It launched alright on my M2 Pro MacBook, and it could do the basic things, yes. But that was it.I wanted to do two things: let it modify a graph with an if/else conditional and stack the original vs. modified graphs.Overlaying graphs did not work, as soon as a second graph was involved, only one would show.There are two sets of documentation available on the website, if/else conditional blocks are explained in two different ways there, neither of them works.I wrote an email to the developer more than 3 weeks ago, still no reply. I consider this defunct abandonware.
Buggy and unreliable

i have accidently discovered a bug, which makes further use of this software pointless: you need always double check the results and prove them by other means or manually. So the bug is trivial: Integrate(2/x^3, x, 0, 1) and the anwser simply wrong.
MathStudio now supports Apple M1.
