The Nextcloud iOS app allows you to access all your files on your Nextcloud
Features:
- Read, rename, copy, move, delete all the files stored in your Nextcloud and send them to other App.
- Display documents, photos, videos, audio files.
- Automatically display previews of images and videos.
- Create new folders.
- Add any kind of data (documents, templates, photos, videos, voice memo, etc…).
- Tag the most important files and folders as ‘favorites’ or ‘offline’ to consult them offline.
- Use the Passcode function for an advanced level of protection of single folders or to prevent access to Nextcloud to other potential users of your iPhone.

Zu anfällig
Dass sich Windows und Apple nicht besonders mögen ist lang bekannt führt immer wieder zu Problemen. I.d.R. ist es Apple, das den Weg zu Windows möglich macht. In diesem Fall mit Nextcloud wird so eine Brücke geschlagen. Vom Prinzip hier funktioniert das Programm. Leider ist es zu störanfällig und es kann keine Sonderzeichen synchronisieren - warum auch immer. Ferner ist die Bedienung des Programms Apple untypisch. Das bedeutet: sehr komplex und hätte ich meinen externen EDV-ler nicht, hätte ich das Programm schon längst gelöscht. Leider ist das mangels Alternative nicht möglich. Also: in den sauren Apfel beißen und von der „next“-„cloud“ träumen, die endlich mal problemlos funktioniert und synchronisieren kann…
Probleme mit langsamen Verbindungen & Upload mehrerer Dateien
Ich nutze die App erfolgreich im heimischen Mobilfunknetz oder WiFi. Im Urlaub sichere ich damit meine Fotos, um bei Verlust oder Defekt der Speicherkarte ein Backup zu haben. Hierbei kommt es bei langsamen Verbindungen leider zu Serverfehlern, wenn ich mehr als eine Datei gleichzeitig hochladen will. Leider tritt der Fehler nach komplettem Upload der jeweiligen Datei auf. Die App versucht, jede nicht hochgeladene Datei erneut hochzuladen, was zusätzlich stört. Eine Option, die Anzahl gleichzeitiger Uploads zu verändern, würde vermutlich helfen.
Auch fehlt die Möglichkeit, mehrere Dateien zum Upload zu selektieren. Es ist möglich, mehrere Fotos oder Videos aus der Mediathek für den Upload auszuwählen, nicht aber mehrere Dateien. Damit ist es schwierig, viele Fotos direkt von einer Speicherkarte in die Nextcloud hochzuladen.
Einwandfrei und schnell.
Funktioniert prima auf dem iPhone.
