iPhone
A voice recorder that never sends a word you say to the cloud.
NoteCatch records, transcribes, summarises and searches your conversations entirely on your iPhone. No account. No servers. No subscription. Your recordings, transcripts and summaries never leave your device, so they can be used for conversations you would never upload to a cloud AI service.
100% ON YOUR IPHONE
- Recording, transcription, summaries, action items and search all run locally
- No account, no servers, no analytics, no ads, no tracking
- Works fully offline, including in airplane mode
- Privacy label: Data Not Collected
- We could not read your recordings if we wanted to. They are never sent anywhere.
SUMMARIES IN THE FORMAT YOU NEED
- Your recording is transcribed and summarised as soon as you stop, in the format you last chose
- Meeting minutes, key points, facts, timeline, questions raised, and more
- Re-run any recording in a different format as often as you like, as your needs change
- On iPhone models with Apple Intelligence, Apple's on-device model writes the summary
- On other iPhones, NoteCatch builds the summary from your own sentences, quoting rather than paraphrasing
REMINDERS AND CALENDAR EVENTS FROM WHAT YOU SAID (Pro)
NoteCatch notices what you committed to - "I need to call the garage before Friday" - and offers to add it to Apple Reminders or your Calendar, with the sentence you actually said attached. Dates like "tomorrow" are worked out from when you recorded, not when you opened the app. You confirm every item; nothing is added silently.
FIND ANY CONVERSATION AGAIN
- Search every word you have ever recorded, in the app or from Spotlight
- Tap any line of the transcript to jump to that moment in the audio
- Export the audio, transcript or summary to share it
RECORDING YOU CAN RELY ON
- Keeps recording with the screen locked and the app in the background
- Waits out phone calls and Siri, then carries on
- Recovers your session if the app is force-quit or the phone restarts
- Start from the Action Button, Siri or Shortcuts
- No time limits and no minute caps
- Forgot to stop? After 5 minutes of silence NoteCatch stops and saves for you (can be turned off)
IMPORT WHAT YOU ALREADY HAVE
Bring in audio from Files or the share sheet and get the same transcript and summary.
ONE PRICE, NO SUBSCRIPTION
Recording, transcription, search and export are free with no minute cap, because NoteCatch runs on your iPhone and there is nothing for us to meter. Every summary format is free 3 times a day, and Key points is always unlimited.
NoteCatch Pro is a single one-time purchase: unlimited formats, reminders and calendar events, asking a recording questions, translation (beta) and recording on launch. Nothing expires.
HONEST LIMITS
- Built and tuned for English. Other languages your iPhone supports often work.
- Finding action items is in beta and deliberately cautious, so it will miss things.
- iOS does not allow third-party apps to record phone calls.
- NoteCatch marks when the speaker changes but lets you name people yourself.
- Network use is limited to downloading language files from Apple, an optional on-device model download for iPhones without Apple Intelligence, and App Store purchases. Nothing you record is ever included.
Recording other people is your responsibility, and the law varies by place. Please make sure you have permission.
