Gelungenes Update
Ich war schon als Tester dabei und hab beobachten können, das OF 4 immer besser wurde. Viele vermisste Funktionen (etwa Sortierung nach Markierung und Fälligkeit) sind wieder zurück. Etwas ärgerlich: Auf der Apple Watch dreht seit 2 Tagen nach dem Aufruf nur das Rad. Wird aber ein Anfangsproblem sein.
Endlich wieder so gut wie einst
Ich bin ein Wiederkehrer. Ich habe Omnifocus ganz in den Anfängen (Skripte für OmniOutliner) genutzt, dann auch OF1 und OF2. Mit OF3 fand ein Bruch des Designs statt. "White Space" übernahme die Kontrolle, also verschwendeter Displayplatz, auf dem keine Informationen angezeigt werden. Ich bin dann auf andere sehr gute Apps umgestiegen, habe OF aber wegen seiner Alleinstellungsmerkmale immer im Auge behalten: Review und Fokus.
Als jetzt OF4 herauskam, habe ich wieder einen Versuch gestartet. Und ich muss sagen: Omnifocus ist durch die Nutzung von SwiftUI und der damit verbundenen, notwendigen intensiven Designarbeit, wieder zu meiner Top-App für Projekt- und Taskmanagement geworden. Nicht nur, dass die Anzeige hoch konfigurierbar ist, es wird auch der zur Verfügung stehende Platz auf den Displays von Mac, iPad und iPhone endlich wieder optimal und sinnvoll genutzt.
Extrapunkte gibt es für: Automatisierung mit Javascript / Applescript / Shortcuts; Umfangreiche Möglichkeit der Steuerung per URL-Scheme mit x-callback-url Support, sowie die Kompatibilität mit dem Taskpaper-Format, welches oft hilft, mal eben eine Reihe von Tasks aus anderen Apps nach OF hineinzubringen. Liebe OmniGroup: ich bin wieder happy!
Beste To-Do-App auf allen Plattformen
Ich nutze OmniFocus seit Version 1, seit weit über 15 Jahren und habe immer wieder Alternativen getestet. OmniFocus ist einfach das Nonplusultra auf Mac, iPhone und iPad. Keine andere App kann so viele teils komplexe Anforderungen abdecken. Die neue Version 4, an deren Testphase ich schon ein paar Monate teilnehmen durfte, ist wirklich nochmal ein Riesensprung nach vorne. Wer Getting Things Done von David Allen praktiziert, kommt an OmniFocus nicht vorbei. Und wer seine Verpflichtungen, privat oder geschäftlich, aus seinem Kopf verbannen möchte und inneren Frieden finden will, ohne etwas zu vergessen, kommt weder an GTD noch an OmniFocus vorbei. Großartiges Tool!
