单跨梁是梁的一种较为简单和基本的结构形式，就是两端各有一个位移约束点的梁，应用非常广泛。单跨梁主要有5种形式，即悬臂梁、简支梁、一端简支一端固定梁、两端固定梁和伸臂梁。
单跨梁主要承受弯矩，属于弯效结构，故尽量减小单跨梁的竖向弯矩是单跨梁研究的主要问题。合理的造型能够减小梁的弯矩，使其充分发挥其材料性能。
《力学计算器—简支梁》是力学计算器APP系列中的一款计算器，可用于一般的工程师结构力学计算，或者材料力学等学习时参考求解，有如下特点：
1.按上述5种类型，收录了50多种典型、常用的单跨梁结构
2.可以按梁的结构形式输入所需参数，自动计算出结果
3.每种梁的结构形式精心录入对应的计算公式、参数说明和力及变形正负号说明，便于对照学习
