The app is not working.

Brittbox has just started in Denmark, and I have signed up for a 7-day trial period. I can already say now that I am not continuing. The app constantly fails, no content is displayed on the front page. No content will start. The worst user experience I have experienced in streaming apps.

I’m not over the moon, but I am quite content. There is a lot of good shows and I’ve binged several. The user face is a bit clumsy- when looking through your list to decide what to watch for instance, it’s a sideways scroll with big icons. It takes a hole to navigate through them. Some of the content is old. My guess is that the DK national TV - or TV2 - have bought rights to some of it, so the newest content won’t be added in Britbox until the rights have expired. In any case I had hoped to watch Graham Norton or Death in Paradise - but after a year of subscribing it’s still the old episodes. Still, I can live with the flaws as there is a lot of other lovely content (go watch “Mum” if you haven’t yet!)

Another service that doesn’t respect your privacy

Yet another service that actively tries to prevent you from blocking their attempts of tracking you by blocking VPN. They use the “we don’t allow geo-location blocking” argument, but I’m not going to compromize my privacy to be allowed to give them my money :(
