Ransom(hard)ware

This is a dead product without development. No integration to home kit etc. No security updates. Nothing.

All of the sudden, the developer wants payment to use the only software that integrates with their hardware.

I wonder if that is even legal?

We update our various software constantly. This includes both maintenance and security updates, as well as new features driven by customer needs. We have a public API for integration. Yes, we do charge a small subscription fee.

Marketing

The Sensorist App is very simple to use. With pinch-and-zoom graphs, it makes it easy to see your desired measurements, and dig deeper into the data.

I like that I can monitor temperature and humidity in my home 24-hours, even when I am not home.

I did not realize that I had a problem with too low humidity in my apartment, making it way too dry. Without being able to measure and monitor this, I would not have been able to fix the problem. I would definitely recommend the App.
