Lightning fast SSH terminal with remote file access. No other app fuses your SSH servers and iOS devices as well as Secure ShellFish. Tap Get and see for yourself. Terminal supports standard text editing gestures for selection, scrolling and copy/paste as well as custom gestures to send arrow keys and tabulator making shell entry and full screen editing with vim or emacs delightful. Bar above the keyboard makes it easy to type special keys and insert snippets. Select and drag filenames out of the terminal as actual files and drag files from other apps into the terminal to upload. Use built-in tmux support to persist terminal sessions if you lose Internet access, pick existing sessions with thumbnails and Handoff sessions between devices. Server file system is available in the Files app and recently accessed files and directories are cached to make them available when offline. Use apps like Textastic and iA Writer for a native editing experience working on your remote server files. Upload files or entire directories from the share sheet with minimal friction as the last destination directory for each kind of file is remembered or automate file transfers in the Shortcuts app. Connect to your Mac, Synology NAS and any other SSH server or create new Digital Ocean droplets right from the app. Secure ShellFish is useful as a free app and paying pro users can disable ads in the terminal, upload through the Files app and configure unlimited number of servers.

They really have not limited themselves in what festures in in the app. I almost prefer ssh’ing from my iPhone above doing it from another linux box.

Keyboard bar should be customizable, CTRL, TAB are too small to hit frequently and precisely!👎🏻

I like the app, its one of the greatest ssh clients on iOS, but one thing I'm less satisfied with is the cluttered keyboard bar. The frequently used CTRL, TAB, ESC keys are far too small! Its hard to hit repeatedly, even if frequently used - (even large 15 Pro Max screen), its simply not productive enough! Its my largest criticism of the keyboard and I think with good reason. If you can't easily hit TAB to complete it doesn't save you any time and is just annoying! If you constantly mispress keys its simply frustrating to use such small keys..I can't see a reason why there isn't two presets at least or a way to fully customize it. ESC, TAB, CTRL, ARROW KEYS is the only keys I need on a daily. (and you can't add these to the customizable keyboard rows, nor is there a way to make that next page default)I don't find a use for Fn, Meta, Hide keyboard, Snippets (I use in-shell aliases) and I'd much rather trade the hide keyboard button for quickswitching between shell sessions.I hope this will make it into an update in the future or at least make 2 keyboard presets. I have used Vim on phone with just ESC+CTRL+ARROW KEYS for years and never missed the inconsistent alt/meta keys.Edit: To reply:Thanks for the tip! It helps with completion, but not CTRL shortcut. We really need a proper bigger Function button keyboard with only the essential keys. The small keys are really making productivity bad. If keys were same size as the "words" in predictive text on iOS for typing that would be ideal.

Thank you for the feedback.The customizable keyboard row is still somewhat new and will be improved such that it remembers being visible between sessions and supports adding all special keys.It might help to know you can double-tap away from text in the terminal to send tabulator for easy auto completion. Double tapping close to text will select to match system behaviour.

Awesome app. But would be cool with more local app security, like optional screen lock / app-passcode/password locking / local data encryption. So when leaving/closing the app, a passcode is needed to enter it again.

Fixes bug where video Playback from Files app failed for certain filenames. Includes changes from 2025.33 Assign dismiss, paste, fn, esc, tab, ctrl, alt, shift or arrow keys to custom positions on keyboard bar. Help screen has button to show list of page titles making it easier to find specific topics. Improved documentation when calling 'widget' command without arguments. This change requires you to update Shell Integration script from Settings. Fix when pasting from 1Password.
