Studiary: Study Timer
Time it. See where it went.
Only for iPhone
Free · In-App Purchases · Designed for iPhone. Not verified for macOS.
iPhone
Free for three subjects, with history that never expires. One payment unlocks the rest - no subscription, no ads, and nothing ever leaves your phone.
Studiary times your studying, keeps it per subject, and counts down to the exam. That is the whole app.
It was built for a student who wanted something simpler than everything else on the shelf, and it is deliberately small. No streaks to protect, no leaderboard, no character to feed. Just an honest record of where your hours went.
A TIMER THAT SURVIVES YOUR POCKET
Studiary records when you started and works the rest out from the clock. Lock your phone, switch apps, or close it entirely - not a second is lost.
SUBJECTS, AND TOPICS INSIDE THEM
Track Organic Chemistry, then break it down into stereochemistry, mechanisms and spectroscopy. Topics are free on every plan.
EXAM COUNTDOWNS
Set the date once and every screen tells you how long is left. Optional reminders arrive a week out, three days out, and the morning of.
FORGOT TO HIT START?
Add the time by hand. It counts exactly the same, because an app you cannot correct is one you stop trusting.
HONEST NUMBERS
Today, this week, all time. Which subject is eating your evenings, how long your average session really is, and the hours of the day you actually get work done.
NOTHING LEAVES YOUR PHONE
No account. No sign-up. No servers. Studiary has no way to see your study data, because it never sends it anywhere.
WHAT IT COSTS
Free: three subjects, unlimited topics, and history that never expires or locks.
One payment: unlimited subjects, eight colour themes, ninety days of patterns, and export everything as a spreadsheet.
No subscription. No ads. Not now, not later.

Studiary 1.1 is built almost entirely from one student's feedback.
Your timer on the Lock Screen. Start a session and Studiary shows the course, the colour and the countdown on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, so you can check the time without unlocking and losing your place.
Sessions no longer start themselves. When a pomodoro or a break ends, Studiary waits for you. Finish the thought you are in the middle of, then tap to begin the break - nothing runs without you meaning it to.
An alarm you can actually hear. The end of a phase now plays a chime and buzzes the phone, and the chime is heard even with the ringer switched off, which is where a phone on a study desk usually is.
Pomodoro lengths that fit you. Three presets on the Timer screen - 25/5, 50/10 and 15/3 - or set your own work, break and long-break minutes in Settings.
Pick your own course colours. A colour wheel, so a course can be the exact shade you think of it as instead of the nearest one on offer.
An archive for finished courses. Put a course away when the term ends and keep every hour you logged in it. Restore it any time.
Fixed: on "Add time you forgot", the number pad could cover the Add button with no way to dismiss it. It now has a Done bar, and the sheet scrolls.
