VidCap: A User-Friendly Subtitle Tool with Room for huge Improvement

VidCap is a brilliant program that stands out for being incredibly easy to use compared to other similar solutions. The interface is simple, with only a few buttons and features, making it ideal for users who don't want to spend unnecessary time learning complex systems. The program does exactly what it's designed to do – generating subtitles efficiently and quickly.

However, there are some significant challenges that detract from the overall experience. When it comes to the Danish language, a lot of corrections are required. The issue is that the program doesn't learn from previous mistakes, meaning you often have to make the same corrections repeatedly. This can be time-consuming and frustrating.

Another challenge is that videos often lag and stutter during editing, especially if they are longer than five minutes. Fortunately, the final output is stable, with text and speech syncing correctly when the video is saved, which salvages part of the experience.

Unfortunately, I frequently experience the program freezing 10-15 times during the editing of a 10-minute video. This makes the workflow unnecessarily frustrating and difficult, especially when working under tight deadlines.

Despite these issues, I still use VidCap. This is mainly because the alternatives I've tried are far more complicated and often significantly more expensive. VidCap remains a solution I can recommend – but only if you have the patience to deal with its current limitations. I sincerely hope the developers address these problems in an update soon, as the program's potential is enormous.
