In today's digital age, sharing a link often means unintentionally sharing tracking data. This allows websites to monitor who's sharing what and with whom.
Enter Clean Link: your solution to stripping away those intrusive URL trackers and reclaiming some of your online privacy.
Easily use "Clean Link" in two ways:
1. Via the "Share Menu" in your favourite apps.
2. By pasting a link directly from your clipboard into Clean Link.

Then becomes: "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ" but If you click either link it will take you to the same video.
the part that has been removed (?si=3nmNv1NzWBvzcR9M) is a url tracking parameter added by youtube to track users sharing links.

- What steps are used to verify this app protects privacy and offers a “clean” link?
As a Rule this app strips ALL url parameters apart from a few exceptions that are known not to be trackers. For instance, when you share a specific time (t=) with a youtube link. or a google search eg. "search="my%20search". But these are specific exception not the rule. As a rule it will remove ALL parameters for your links.
In some cases this may break certain urls meaning they no longer link to the same content. (very clean link) . If this occurs please leave us a review with the details and we can add some more exceptions to the rules to support your favourite sites in future updates.
- How is a link determined its safe?
This app removes all URL parameters from links that can be used to track users. Determining if a link is "safe" to visit is at your discretion. The definition of safe can vary from person to person, This is not for us to decide. All we know is that: you won't be tracked via URL parameters when using "Clean Link"
