SibTime is a dual-language (English/Spanish), interactive mobile app designed to support families with young kids whose siblings have disabilities or health concerns. The app provides families with activities that foster positive family functioning and address the unique needs of young siblings. SibTime includes engaging features for parent/caregiver and child to access together, such as live-action videos of young children sharing their questions and feelings with their parents, animated social stories that highlight different animal families navigating sibling experiences, and interactive reflection activities that help children reflect on their own experiences and feelings and help their parents/caregivers to hear their young children’s thoughts and experiences. The app also includes a dedicated parent/caregiver section, offering valuable tools and evidence-based parenting strategies to meet the needs of young siblings, reduce stress, manage emotions, and strengthen family functioning. SibTime empowers busy parents and caregivers with strategies that work to support their young children with siblings who have disabilities or health concerns.
