The SurfVision HD System is an iOS application that connects to a high-definition Network Video Recorder (NVR) engineered for marine action and surveillance. Distributed by Seatronx.com, it supports multiple IP camera models from leading vendors — including cameras built for the harshest marine conditions — and allows you to manage recording, playback, and monitoring directly from your iPhone or iPad.
Capture every moment in real-time 30 FPS across all connected cameras. Select Live View or Playback directly on your device — no onboard PC required. Record timestamped video clips or snapshots, then save, email, or export them via the NVR’s USB port.
The latest version supports high-resolution cameras beyond 4K, with advanced H.264 and H.265 compression for superior image quality while minimizing bandwidth and storage use. It also integrates geolocation data from a USB GPS antenna or Actisense interface connected to the vessel’s NMEA backbone, embedding location information directly into your recordings.
For remote viewing, SurfVision uses an internet connection via cellular data or satellite service (such as Starlink) to let you monitor your vessel’s cameras from anywhere in the world. The system can manage up to 8 PoE cameras connected through Wi-Fi, providing a reliable, intuitive, and marine-ready platform for professional and recreational users.
