This update makes playback, downloads and syncing more dependable. - Smart playlists follow their rules again, long lists open faster, and they now reach your Apple Watch (Premium). - Up Next no longer stops partway when it includes an episode you already finished on another device, in the app and in CarPlay. - Play now starts straight away on an episode that's waiting to auto-download. - Marking an episode played or unplayed, or finishing it, now always reaches your other devices. - "Keep only the newest" and "delete after playing" no longer remove an episode you've saved. - Trim Silences now prepares episodes as they download, so trimming starts sooner. - Listening offline, for example in the car, no longer stalls. - Cloud storage backups are more reliable, and copies made for your Apple Watch no longer stay behind using your space (Premium). Fixes: iOS no longer closes Castria while it plays in the background; a playback hiccup no longer deletes the episode you're listening to; downloads still running when the app closed are no longer fetched twice or brought back after you remove them; episodes keep their "N ADS" label after you switch away; resuming after a restart keeps your place on the lock screen; the Apple Watch app stays open while it receives an episode; and more CarPlay improvements.

Finding and following shows is easier, and your episode lists got a big upgrade. - One search for everything: shows, episodes, topics and what was said. Tap a topic or transcript match to start playing right at that moment. - Shows is now a grid of artwork. Tap a show for its episodes and settings in one place. - Up Next, Timeline, Saved, Downloads and playlists share one redesigned list, with Play all, Shuffle all, sorting, and filters for Unplayed, In progress and Downloaded. - See where you left off: started episodes show a progress bar and the time left. - Long episode titles are shown in full, so episodes that only differ at the end are easy to tell apart. - Your Saved list, and its order, now syncs across your devices. - Clearer ad labels: Castria shows "N ADS FOUND" until your copy of the episode is ready to skip them, including in CarPlay. - Downloads say when they're waiting for Wi-Fi, and Castria asks before saving on cellular when you've chosen Wi-Fi only. - Premium: episodes from shows you don't follow get their ads found by our servers too. Fixes: BBC episodes download again; replaying a finished episode no longer jumps to the end; episodes you marked played stay played; fewer unexpected sign-outs; switching accounts keeps each account's data separate; and many CarPlay and ad-skipping improvements.

Castria 2.0 is our biggest update yet. Ads still skip themselves, and skipping ads on your phone is still free. Now there's much more around it. - Press play and the ads start skipping right away, while the rest of the episode is still being scanned. - Playlists: build your own by hand, or let smart playlists fill themselves (Premium). - CarPlay: a dedicated app with Listen Now, Up Next, Playlists, and Shows tabs (Premium, iOS 26.4 or later). - Apple Watch: your queue and Now Playing on your wrist, with ads skipped (Premium). - Castria Premium: an optional subscription with a free trial. It adds faster ad detection on our servers, with no battery cost, and 20 GB of cloud storage, plus everything marked Premium above. - Import your shows from another app with an OPML file. - Preview a show and play an episode before you follow it. - New download controls: auto-download new episodes, keep only the newest few, and delete after playing. Set them as defaults or per show. - Set a minimum amount of free storage so auto-downloads never fill your phone. - Trim silences on downloaded episodes. Also: add and remove passkeys in Settings, reset a forgotten password by email, and settings for each show now save as you change them.

Cross-device sync — Playback position and played status now sync across your devices. Mark as played cleanup — Marking an episode as played now automatically removes its download and clears it from your queue. Improvements Lock screen and Bluetooth controls now show full episode artwork and metadata. Smarter download management: priority queuing, automatic storage checks, and better retention of your most recent episodes. Reduced spurious error notifications on wake/resume. Improved queue reliability and advancement behavior. Security Fixed an issue with the ad detector where some shows would be marked as ads Fixed a session management issue that could cause unexpected logouts.
