cleanSpot allows you to easily locate the recycling spots (recycling centers or specialized bins) in your city where you can drop off those "other" waste that we generate on a daily basis: consumer electronics and small or major electrical appliances, mobile phones, batteries, light bulbs and fluorescent tubes, used oil, clothes, shoes and accessories, toys, furniture, books and school supplies, toys, metal, medicines, radiographs, pruning, toners and printer cartridges, etc.
Once you have dropped your waste off you have the opportunity to earn redeemable points and see how you are doing in the ranking*!
You have more than 65,000 geolocated spots throughout Spain territory (and growing) in your smartphone or tablet and now, with our waste detection system it is much easier. Just take a photo of the waste and the app will detect its type and locate the nearest recycling spot where you can drop it off!.
You can add new recycling spots but we are expanding to other countries so if you want us to add recycling spots from your country, let us know!
The app also includes a CO2 calculator for you to calculate and share how much CO2 emissions avoid when recycling your waste or donating/reusing what you no longer need, giving it a second life. You also have news related to the environment and recycling, and you can also mark municipalities/localities as favorites, so you can receive notifications with information and/or alerts for integrated services with your city council *!
Waste sorting is key for an optimal recycling process so it is very important to drop waste off into the right place. Find your nearest recycling spot and contribute to environmental conservation!
