Turn anything into flashcards
Free · In-App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Turn anything into flashcards. Paste a link, drop a PDF, Word or PowerPoint file, snap a photo, or point it at a YouTube video: ten cards in about a minute, and every card shows the line it came from and whether the source actually says it. Or pick one of 6,119 ready-made decks. Free, no account, no ads.
THE LIBRARY
6,119 ready-made decks across 358 subjects: USMLE, NCLEX, MCAT, medical terminology, AP courses, SAT vocabulary, 20+ languages, licensing exams, geography, history and more. Search everything, browse by subject and level, and study a deck the moment you tap it. Adding a deck saves your own editable copy.
CARDS FROM YOUR OWN MATERIAL
- Paste notes, drop a PDF, Word or PowerPoint file, take a photo of a page, or paste a web link or YouTube video
- Every AI card quotes its source and is checked against it before you see it
- Question and answer, fill in the blank, both ways, and multiple choice with wrong answers that are actually plausible
- 5 generations free; more come by the pack, never as a subscription
HONEST SCHEDULING
- Spaced repetition that brings each card back just before you would forget it
- A daily limit: whatever is past it waits for tomorrow, so a day off never becomes a backlog
- How much you remember, shown as a real percentage, not a streak
- Ratings show their consequence: Again means the card comes back before the session ends
PRACTICE AND TEST
- Practice: go through every card and sort it into Know it or Still learning, round after round until you know them all
- Test: multiple choice, written and true or false questions made from your deck, scored at the end or as you go
- Practice the ones you missed in one tap
- Neither one changes your review schedule
TEACH-BACK (PRO)
Say the answer out loud before the flip. Your speech is transcribed on your device, checked against the card, and a rating is suggested. Free recall beats silent self-grading.
BRING YOUR DECKS
- Anki .apkg import with cloze cards and images, up to 2000 cards at a time
- Quizlet exports, spreadsheets, tab or comma paste
- Export everything, always, for free
THE BIG SCREEN
Put the deck on a TV with AirPlay or HDMI, or open flashkeepers.com on any TV browser and type a code, while you control it from your phone. Quiz the room, run a two-team buzzer race, pick from four TV themes. People who join never need an account.
FLASHKEEPERS PRO
One purchase per person, no subscription. Your decks, progress and settings on every device with Apple or Google sign in, unlimited decks and cards, teach-back, exam date mode, unlimited players with team buzzer, and TV themes with your name on screen.
PRIVACY
No account required to study. Cards and scheduling live on your device unless you turn on Pro sync. Teach-back transcribes on device and stores nothing.
Ratings & Reviews
- This app has not received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.
Review looks right on every phone and in either orientation:
- Fixed the review screen overflowing on phones held upright
- Landscape review no longer squashes the card, and multiple-choice answers fit side by side
- The answer you got right now scrolls into view when it is revealed
- Small layout fixes in Settings on narrow screens
- Bug fixes and stability improvements
