- Changed to a new data source. Should be faster and will resolve the connectivity issues over cellular! Old data source is there as a backup in Settings.
- You can now see time in local and Eastern.
- Experimental new charts on iPhone/iPod. Now showing grams, kilos, or troy ounces in USD, CAD, INR, AUD, EUR, GBP, JPY, CHF, ZAR, CNY, BRL, MXN, HKD, and RUB.
- Auto update now triggers every 20 seconds.

You can now protect your Vault with a passcode!
Fixed: Bug that incorrectly displayed Vault values when the main currency was set to something other than USD, and the Vault was set to USD.
Fixed: Bug that caused the average price of platinum in the vault to incorrectly show as infinity on the iPad.

Hello Gold Trackers!
Today we have a great little tweak: Custom Purities in the calculators! This will allow scrap metal buyers to more accurately calculate costs. Of course, the basic purities are still there, and it's super efficient and seamless to input a custom purity.
Secondly, we have some fixes that should resolve the crashing in the Vault. These issues were for a very small group of users, and thanks to user Jose for helping me pinpoint them!
We've also sped up the time it takes to update prices!

- Keep track of how much metal you own with the Vault! The Vault lets you organize your metals, showing you your daily change, overall change, average price, and more! If you are using an iPhone, simply swipe left on the main prices screen, or if you're on an iPad, tap the "Vault" button on the top right!
- iPad only: We added a charts button at the top of the main prices window to help make opening the charts faster!
- Fixed some 3G crashing issues. We now have a new method of retrieving quotes, which should make things a lot more stable in low-bandwidth areas.
Also, THANK YOU all so very much for your stunning reviews! Recently we've had hundreds of you post on the App Store of how much you love Gold Tracker, and it's very encouraging to get so much excellent feedback!

- Improved reliability, especially when using a 3G network.
- Price changes for currencies other than the USD are now calculated from yesterday's exchange rate. It's much more accurate, and provides a way of seeing when the price of gold increases in one currency, while decreasing in another.
- We now allow metals to be calculated in kilograms in the calculators.
- Many new currencies have been added!
- You can now search for currencies without having to scroll.
- We revamped the Settings panel. This new layout should be easier to use as future updates come out.

Hey guys! We've created a great new update for you all this time around. Here are some of the features:
• New landscape mode for iPad! Use Gold Tracker at any orientation now.
• New, more reliable data source for metal prices. No more crashing when kitco is down!
• Along with the new data source, we are now displaying the high/low prices for metals all day long...instead of just during the NY market.
• The unit/purity selections in the calculators are now saved and the latest one you used will auto-populate.
• Made a change where calculating silver at .999 would really calculate .999 instead of 100% of the value.
• Ensured everything works on iOS 4.2.

- Fixed a critical error that would cause the app to crash while updating prices. The error started on Saturday, Sep 25, at around 3:00PM PST. Sorry for the inconvenience.

• We now access the 24-hour gold market! Many people asked for this...thanks for your patience.
• We added a new "Kiosk Mode," in which you can hide the percent you pay for a certain metal in the calculators. This is fantastic for anyone in retail. Set your percentages beforehand, and do the calculation in front of the customer. Thanks to users Danielle and Pete for the suggestion.
• We added a new setting where you can set Gold Tracker to automatically update quotes every minute. Thanks to user Levon for suggesting this.
• We now save the percent of spot price that you input in the calculators. Additionally you can now leave the "Percent of Spot" field in any of the calculators blank, and Gold Tracker will assume 100% of the value.
• You can now view the change of metals prices in percentage as well as price change.
• User Joerg requested we add 8k purity for gold, so we did.
