Version 2.0 is the biggest update since launch. A NEW LOOK Layout Grove has been redrawn from the ground up, taking its cues from an old seed catalogue — cream paper, deep green ink, a warm red accent, and drawn specimens on every screen where you choose something. The editors stay deliberately plain, because your photos are what matter there. There is a new app icon and launch screen to match, and a Light / Dark / System setting under Settings. DESIGN YOUR OWN LAYOUTS The new layout builder lets you place up to ten photo wells by hand on a blank canvas. Drag, pinch, rotate and resize; cut each well into a circle, diamond, arch, hexagon or triangle; turn the cut a quarter at a time; add a mat and set the corners, with both values shown in export pixels so two wells can be matched exactly. Everything snaps to edges, centres and neighbouring wells, and every change undoes. Save your layout and it appears in My Templates, ready to use like any built-in. BETTER FRAMING Photos can now be rotated and flipped inside their slots, with a level detent and a live degree readout. Shaped slots — circles, arches, triangles — now crop against the shape you actually see rather than its bounding box, so nothing goes missing at the edges. Changing spacing or margins re-frames every photo, so no background can show through. SOUND ON STORY VIDEOS A story built from a video clip now carries that clip's own audio into the exported video, looped to length. FIXES • Split Reel crossfades no longer dip toward the background colour at the midpoint of every transition. • The album picker's tap targets are correct — a wide panoramic photo no longer overlaps its neighbours, so tapping selects the photo you meant. • Story photos stay covered when you change spacing, margin or split position. LAYOUT GROVE PRO The layout builder is free to use in full. Pro is a new one-time purchase that lets you export a layout you designed yourself. Everything the app did before remains free.
