What's new in 1.8.5 • A clearer Mena Pro screen: the yearly plan comes first, the other plans are one tap away, and each plan spells out how it renews. • Mena no longer sends any information about your device when you first open it. • iCloud sync no longer reports everything as synced while iCloud is refusing works, and the refused count clears itself once those works are accepted. • Works iCloud had refused now upload. Images, PDFs and documents that stayed on one device reach your others. • An attachment is never removed from a device before iCloud confirms it holds every byte — including after you switch iCloud account or turn iCloud off and on again. • The idea map stays readable: labels no longer pile up in the overview, zooming in reveals more of them, and the Spaces hub shows a still portrait of the same map.

• The yearly option on the upgrade screen now states its yearly amount, so it no longer reads like a monthly charge • Minor fixes

What's new in 1.8.2 • Search reads inside your works, not only their titles. Smart Search suggests searches from your own library, and View on Board lays the results out on a board. • Spaces and Topics now share one hub, led by the idea map. Smart Spaces group your works on their own and get cover photos. • Select several Spaces, or several works inside a Space, and act on them together. • Every screen that shows a work has the same long-press menu. • Link cards show the whole preview image with the address in the corner. Tap one for its details. • iCloud sync keeps edits made before it starts, recovers a deleted or reset iCloud library, and an older app version no longer overwrites a document saved by a newer one. • Faster launch and smoother editing in large libraries.

What's new in 1.8.1 • The zoom level on a board now shows the percent sign the way your language writes it, for example "160%" instead of "%160".

• New libraries start with a sample note, board and revision deck. Delete them whenever you like. • If Mena ever can't open your library, it now tells you clearly instead of quietly keeping your work in memory. • The welcome screen, Pro screen, library and widgets are now translated into Turkish, German, Japanese, Spanish, French, Chinese and Korean. • Sharing a link from another app uses far less memory. • The Pro screen is clearer: iCloud sync is free for everyone.

Cooler, calmer, and quicker to sync. • Mena no longer heats up while you type. Autosave waits for a pause instead of re-saving, re-rendering and re-uploading on every keystroke. • Idle background work is gone. A file that was never going to upload could keep the sync loop busy for an hour, and the sync pill counted uploads that never ran. • Notes open with the keyboard already up, and the page no longer shifts under the text while you write. • The keyboard bar in notes renders as real glass, and the top of the page fades into the paper instead of ending in a hard band. • On Mac, iCloud changes arrive right away. Push registration was failing silently, and there is now a fallback that pulls on its own if it ever does again. • Closing a large document frees its memory immediately.

Mena is now a real Mac app. • Runs as a native Mac app instead of a scaled-up iPad app — its own window, a transparent title bar, and Mac-sized controls. • Full menu bar with Undo, Redo, Cut, Copy, Paste and Select All, and the keyboard shortcuts behind them. • Two-finger trackpad scrolling pans the canvas. Pinch still zooms. • Panning and zooming a board on Mac no longer stutters mid-scroll or mid-pinch. • Drag a lasso to the edge of the screen and the canvas now scrolls with it, so the loop keeps drawing over new space. • Undo in Documents now reaches page imports, deletes and reorders — not only the last ink stroke.

Editing the same note on two devices no longer erases one of them. - A note or journal day changed on two devices between syncs now merges both edits — nothing is silently overwritten - The same protection now covers canvas boards: a shape or stroke added on one device survives a sync from another - Deleting a work on one device no longer wipes out writing you made on another device before the delete arrived — that writing is kept and re-uploaded instead - Fixed a case where moved images could vanish from the library after a merged day was deleted on another device

iCloud sync is rebuilt from the ground up. Works now move between devices in seconds instead of minutes. - Every work is tracked on its own, so nothing waits behind one stuck upload - An edit made on one device reaches the other in about a second - Honest progress: the bar no longer restarts at zero on every batch, and nothing is reported as moving while the device is idle - Notes and documents that arrived from another device now show a real card in the library instead of an empty one - Link, map and video previews fill themselves in, so a captured work is no longer stuck on "Loading preview…" - Covers and thumbnails travel separately, so a work's name and details land first and the picture follows - When iCloud is the problem — storage full, signed out, offline — the app now says which one - On canvas, connector handles stay where you put them while you reshape a line

Sync you can see — a new Sync Activity screen shows where every work really is. - Per-work status: in iCloud, uploading, downloading or waiting, with the files still to transfer - Restoring a library resumes after a relaunch instead of starting over - The status pill no longer claims everything is synced while works are still arriving - Topics rebuilt: Themes, Connected Ideas and Concepts in one place, with one search and one filter — and the map now shows why two works are linked - Spaces: pin your favourites, switch between icons and list, filter and search, with smoother scrolling - A faster library — renaming, deleting and recovering no longer wait behind a thumbnail upload - Blank works you backed out of are cleared on launch, and page edits are saved when you leave the app mid-note

Paper templates for note pages — Blank, Lined, Dotted and Grid. - Set the paper on a single page, or apply one template to every blank page at once - Paper appearance: Auto, Light or Dark, independent of your system theme - One page, drawn the same everywhere — reader, sidebar, overview grid, library thumbnail and exported PDF - Sharper zoom: pages re-render crisp detail as you zoom in - Quieter sync: the status bar now appears only when something needs your attention, and live sync details moved into Library Details - Faster page thumbnails, plus stability fixes

Mena is now a complete, privacy-first visual second brain.
