Utrecht Time Machine (UTM) beoogt het zichtbaar en ervaarbaar maken van de rijke Utrechtse geschiedenis via een combinatie tussen linked data en visualisatie technologie. Dit resulteert in vernieuwende interactieve presentatievormen voor een breed publiek. Deelnemers aan UTM stellen bronnen en resources beschikbaar. Ook moedigen zij andere geïnteresseerde ontwerpers en ontwikkelaars aan om aan de slag te gaan met de gecombineerde data van verschillende erfgoedpartners.
