Open the app and you're on the board — no welcome screens to tap through. Step away mid-puzzle and come back to exactly where you left off: no pause screen in the way, and the clock only counts the time you actually play. We also fixed a crash that could happen when you left the app during a game. An unfinished Hell run now waits for you on the home screen. One tap and you're back on your floor. On the leaderboard your own row stands out at a glance, and the top three shine in gold, silver and bronze. Fewer interruptions in your first days — and anything that does pop up closes with a single tap.

Hell has a leaderboard. Every run is submitted while you play it, so the weekly board is about this week — not about the best score you ever posted. Ten names, ten flags, and the floor each one fell on, with your own rank pinned underneath wherever you stand. Switch between this week, all time, and friends. It opens straight from the front page, beside the mode itself. On iOS 26 the Go badges are glass, and Hell's embers and lightning carry through them.

Hints explain now. They don't solve for you. Ask for a hint and it walks you through the one step this board is actually offering — which cells to look at, which number goes in, and why it can only be that. It doesn't fill the cell, and it doesn't touch your notes. The last move is still yours. The whole explanation reads in 20 languages. The board got quieter too: square corners, softer starting numbers, flatter colors for what you enter, and coach cards that now follow whatever theme you're playing in. Small thing that matters: the ring on Home now tracks the puzzle you're in the middle of, so it actually moves while you solve.

Hell Mode is free now — and it's not the mode you left. One run. Five lives for the whole descent, not five per floor. A correct digit pays, a streak multiplies what it pays, and a floor cleared without a slip doubles the bonus. The floors keep coming — there is no bottom waiting. No hints, no auto notes, and everyone gets the same board, so every score was earned the same way. How deep you get earns a rank you keep, and becomes a poster you can share. The campaign is now five difficulty tracks with 5,000 levels each. Start at the difficulty you actually want instead of climbing through everything to reach it. Also fixed: a long press always writes a note now, never drops a digit.

Two new Premium board assists. Note highlight — every pencil mark matching the number you are working on lifts off the board, so a candidate you are tracking is easy to find across all 81 cells. Last cell hint — when a row, column or box is down to its final empty cell, the key for the one number that fits rises out of the pad. No hint spent. Both ship off. Switch them on under Gameplay assists in Settings.
