- Release photos: tap a candidate's cover to see every image of that pressing (obi, back cover, disc) from Cover Art Archive and Discogs. - Compare Covers: view editions side by side and pick the one in your hands. - Better identification of pressings listed only on Discogs, such as many Japanese reissues. - Covers shown for more candidates, and clearer match reasons. - Clearer buttons in the folder browser.

What's New Smarter identification • Every candidate release now shows a confidence badge (Confident, Likely, Possible) and the reasons behind it: barcode, catalog number, track count and durations, fingerprint coverage, edition, year and country. • Barcodes and catalog numbers found in your tags, folder names and cover scans are looked up on MusicBrainz and Discogs automatically. Tapping a scanned code adds its results instead of replacing the list. • Folder names such as "Artist - 2003 - Title (Deluxe Edition) [24-96]" are understood: artist, title, year, edition, medium and country all feed the search and the ranking. • Multi-disc albums: CD1/CD2 folders are recognised, the number of discs and tracks per disc are checked against each edition, and every disc gets its own titles and disc numbers when you apply, from MusicBrainz or Discogs. • Albums already tagged with a MusicBrainz release ID are looked up directly. • Editions whose format cannot be the source of your files (a vinyl for a CD rip) are folded away rather than hidden, and the format filter now starts on All. • MusicBrainz lookups retry when the server is busy and match catalog numbers in any spelling. Text misread from OBI strips no longer passes for a catalog number. Tags the way Picard writes them • Applied tags follow the MusicBrainz Picard schema: per-track artist and sort names, MusicBrainz IDs for the release, artists, recordings and works, original release date, ISRC, release status and type, disc numbers, compilation flag, and credits (composer, producer, engineer, performers with their instruments) from MusicBrainz relationships and Discogs. • Lock any field in the preview to keep the file's current value on every track. • DSF and WAV files are written with Picard's ID3 conventions, so Roon, foobar2000 and Picard read the MusicBrainz identifiers. Lyrics, ratings and other frames drtagger does not manage are preserved. • Fingerprinted tracks get their AcoustID written. Safer writes • Every file is verified before upload: the audio is hashed before and after the rewrite, and the upload is refused if a single byte differs. • Backups now keep the original tag block byte for byte, and Restore puts it back exactly. Your existing backups keep working. Settings • Test button for the Discogs token.
