This update fixes answer checking and lesson content. - Typed answers are checked more fairly. A space your keyboard adds after the last word no longer makes a right answer wrong, and the curly apostrophes iPhone types now match straight ones. Capitals and extra symbols are still checked, as in the exam. Listening also accepts measurements and times written without a space, such as 50km or 9.30am. - Corrected answer keys, hints and texts in Listening, Reading and Writing lessons. - Listening matching options are now readable text instead of a small image, so they follow your text size and theme. - The word-list size picker no longer crashes on tap. Thanks for your feedback! If the app helps you, please leave a review.

In this update, you can manage your Premium subscription right in the app: your current plan is highlighted on the Premium screen, and the "Manage subscription" button takes you straight to your subscription settings. - Manage your Premium subscription right in the app - Small fixes and improvements to translation - A few other bug fixes and stability improvements Thank you for your feedback! If you enjoy the app, please leave a review - it really helps.

Translation is here. A difficult passage no longer has to stop you. Double-tap a word to select it, or press and hold to take in more than one, and the selected text is translated for you. The first time, you choose the language you want; after that a short selection is translated right beside the text, leaving the rest of the page in view. Longer selections open a full translation view that keeps the original text in sight. It works wherever you read in the app: Reading passages, task texts, lessons and vocabulary cards. A new Translation section in About the App shows you how it works. One word of advice, which the app repeats: use it sparingly. There is no translation in the real IELTS exam, and working out an unknown word from the words around it is a skill the test measures. Reach for a translation only when you are truly stuck. Also in this release: - Vocabulary search now finds hyphenated, apostrophized and accented words - Spelling exercises keep punctuation in place and only ask you for the letters - A word lesson can no longer be started with no words in it Thank you for the feedback and suggestions you keep sending us. They shape what we build next, so please keep them coming - and if the app is helping you towards your band score, a review means a great deal to us.
