Fall asleep about 42% faster. In a clinical study of 41 adults with insomnia, occupying the mind with calm, unrelated imagery cut time to fall asleep by around 20 minutes — about 42% off a typical 48-minute sleep onset (Harvey & Payne, 2002).
Sheeps turns that technique into something you actually want to listen to: a new audio story every night, narrated for you alone, that never lets your mind grab onto a plot to follow or a problem to solve. A racing mind needs somewhere to go that isn't "the day" — Sheeps gives it a slow drift of vivid, harmless, gently strange scenes instead. A broccoli forest. A lighthouse full of sweaters. A kettle that purrs like a cat. The sentences grow shorter, the pauses grow longer, and the story trails off into silence as you do.
WHY IT'S BUILT THIS WAY
A story with a plot keeps part of your brain awake to find out what happens next — that's the opposite of what you need at bedtime. So Sheeps stories deliberately connect nothing to nothing, on purpose, every night.
MADE FROM YOUR INGREDIENTS
• Comfort themes — the places and things you find calming
• An avoid list — anything you never want to hear is kept out of every story
• A narrator's voice, a story length and your usual bedtime
• The weirdness dial — from gently odd to full dream logic
MADE FOR THE DARK
• Stories can be ready before bedtime, or made when you ask
• Keeps playing with the screen locked; the display dims itself
• No streaks, no badges, no scores — nothing to keep up with
• Every story ends in silence: no chime, no announcement
• In English and German
Also inside: Radio, a slow stream of single words with long pauses in between, and a short page on the sleep science behind Sheeps.
SHEEPS PLUS
Sheeps Plus is an auto-renewing subscription, monthly or yearly, that unlocks the app. It includes story credits every period — one credit is five minutes of finished story — and extra credit packs can be bought at any time. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it in your Apple Account settings.
Sheeps is a wellness app, not a medical product. It does not diagnose or treat any condition. If you have a sleep disorder, please talk to a doctor.
