The MyCrop Wheat App is a one stop shop for your wheat agronomy needs. The app has several components including a diagnostic tool, variety selector, economic risk analysis, crop monitoring tips and an integrated PestFax reporting tool.
Diagnostic Tool
The Diagnostic Tool quickly diagnoses a range of possible constraints based on real-time crop and paddock symptoms. It contains an extensive image and factsheet library for 90 in-crop wheat constraints - helping you to accurately identify constraints and determine possible management solutions. Covering a broad range of diseases, pests, nutrient deficiencies, herbicide damage symptoms and other management and environmental production issues it is bound to be a helpful tool in the paddock.
Variety Selector
The Variety Selector is designed to help determine which wheat variety to grow in your region. The selector provides independent information and advice on variety, agronomy, disease and herbicide tolerance characteristics, medium to long–term yield performance as well as time of flowering information.
CropCheck
Monitoring your crop allows timely intervention to manage constraints, assess crop growth, target maximum crop yield and optimise grain quality and profitability. Crop yield is determined long before crop maturity. It is the culmination of how the crop performed during each stage of growth – these being establishment, seedling growth, tillering or branching, flowering and grain fill. Good decisions are made from having good information. There are key checks that can be done during these times that provide the information required. These are listed below, click on the links for more information for each CropCheck.
MyEconomic Tool
A tool to assist you in assessing the economic risk and financial impact of various treatment options for various pest and diseases in your crop. This tool will assist you in assessing the economic risk and financial impact of various crop treatment options. Considering factors such as expected yields, farm gate price, possible yield losses and treatment costs, MyEconomic Tool assists with the ‘gut – feel’ method for considering crop treatment options. This calculator also provides detailed economic considerations for 24 pest and disease related constraints for wheat.
PestFax Reporter
Accessed from the Diagnostic Tool, the PestFax Reporter lets you quickly and easily report observations of pests and diseases in your paddocks to the Western Australian PestFax editor.
