This release brings a few under-the-hood improvements, including a smoother application launch and a more stable experience overall. FIXED: A crash that would occur when reloading a logbook from inside a location. FIXED: LogCheck no longer tries to make zeroes in a number log’s unit part of a number when formatting a number for display. FIXED: An issue where, in some views, the Back button would gradually become smaller and smaller.

This release updates the way logs behave when shift changes and/or dependencies are in effect. • Daily logs that are checked during one shift will now stay checked until the next time the same shift starts again. For example, with a morning shift of 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., a log updated at 9 a.m. used to become due (the check would disappear) during the night shift. Now, the log will remain checked until 7 a.m. on the following day. • Dependent logs are “reset” if they are scheduled to be checked as-often or more-often than the logs they depend on. For example, a daily “Temperature Check” log that depends on a daily “Equipment Status” log will now appear as due (unchecked) immediately after recording that the equipment is running. However, a monthly “Belt Change” log that depends on the daily status log will appear as up-to-date/due/overdue based on its latest entry, whenever it was recorded. In most cases, we believe these changes will make LogCheck behave the way you would expect it to. But if you think something doesn’t look right, let us know at help@logcheck.com!

This release fixes a crash that could occur after taking a photo on iOS 11.

LogCheck has been updated to improve compatibility with iOS 11. Improved: Photo watermarks no longer take up so much room on panoramic photos. Fixed: On iOS 11, labels on vertical toggle controls were being replaced with “…”, making them difficult to use. Fixed: A very tiny memory leak. Fixed: LogCheck could crash if you very deftly tried to edit two different locations, logs, or records at the exact same time.

"Hi! It looks like you're updating LogCheck." New: Save and Next buttons are now the default. If you prefer the single "Save" button, you can restore it in LogCheck settings, found in the Settings app. New: If you need to contact LogCheck Support, you now have the option of sending an email or calling directly. Just tap the speech bubble button at the bottom right of the screen. New: When a log is overdue, it will now display how frequently it is supposed to be done, in addition to how overdue it is. New: There's a new paperclip icon on records that have attachments, displaying the number of attachments on the record. Fixed: Several crashes were fixed in this version, including one that would occur when opening a record with attachments. Fixed: Sometimes while editing a toggle control, the labels would shift around and you'd see double. No longer! Fixed: Sometimes an out-of-range alert in totalizer logs would display graph axes whose number labels were cut off. All labels should now be sized to fit appropriately. Fixed: Sometimes the app would sign you out when attempting to switch logbooks without an Internet connection. That was rude, and won't happen again.

"Need for speed" New: Save & Next just got a speed boost! If you have the Save & Next Button turned on in Settings, you'll notice blazing fast transition times between entering one record and the next. New: Graphs are now displayed with their minimum and maximum ranges indicated by a gray area. Any plot points that are out of range are now displayed with a yellow color. Fixed: Sometimes the app would crash when reviewing photos you just took, but you can now tap any photo at any time to get a more detailed view. Fixed: We've fixed layout issues that occurred when Larger Text is enabled.

New: LogCheck will refuse to let you sign out or change logbooks before your changes have been uploaded, to prevent accidental data loss. (Previous versions would warn you, but allow you to ignore the warning. If you are reckless and want to restore the old behavior, you can enable the “Destructive Sign-Out” setting.) Fixed: In several places we replaced generic error messages with more specific ones. We hope you never have to read them, but if you do, we they should make troubleshooting easier.

"A tap, a swipe, a flick—how you view your photos is your pick" New: View all of the photos attached to a record by tapping any one of them, and swiping left and right between them. Fixed: Sometimes changing the team code would have no effect in app. Now the app will reliably switch between teams when the code is changed. Fixed: A chart view would occasionally not show enough records on totalizer logs. Now all relevant records will be shown.

“Better, Faster, Stronger” Fixed: If you’ve been experiencing slow sign-in times, rejoice! Sign-in speeds have been dramatically improved! Fixed: Sometimes lists would scroll on their own, following their own will, pursuing their own destiny. But that was silly, and we put the kibosh on it. Lists don’t have a destiny. They’re just lists. Fixed: Using the chart view of your record data was great for getting a visualization of your logs over time, but not so much when the units would be cut off on the y-axis. Now, no matter how large the numbers you enter, the chart view will accurately display them. Fixed: Dependent logs will no longer be hours, weeks, or months overdue when they’re activated—they’ll just be due, ready to be completed, like they should be. Fixed: Toggle logs would occasionally truncate their text, making it hard to know just what option you were trying to select. That’s been fixed too, making this the best version of LogCheck we’ve ever relea…

Improved: Tap on any photo attachment for a full screen view. Does something need closer examination? Pinch or double tap to zoom in! Improved: "Every 2 months" joins the list of choosable log frequencies. Fixed: Sometimes shifts would be "doubled up" if shift start times weren't listed in precise, ascending order. But that was totally dumb, so we made shifts accept whatever you give them, as long as it's reasonable. Please, be reasonable, people. Fixed: After the last round of changes, the keyboard dismissal button was overlapping some other controls. We decided it wasn't that useful, so we dismissed it.

Previously, toggle logs were limited to displaying only as many choices as could fit on the screen at one time. This new version of LogCheck dynamically sizes the toggle control, allowing longer labels and more choices. A new set of templates for Water Treatment have been added to the template library. This release also fixes a problem related to photo uploading. To ensure that all of your photos are correctly stored on our service, this version of LogCheck may attempt re-upload photos taken with earlier versions of LogCheck.
