Copy for AI: Grab a text-based overview of your gear list for AI to review. Trip summary images now include every pack on the trip, not just the one you had open. Adding gear is easier to read. Items already in your pack show a green check; items not yet added show an outlined +. Selected and unselected states are clearer, and the "already in another pack" badges are more legible. Hiker profile is edited in place. No more tapping into a separate sheet; open the profile and the form is right there. Fixes and polish: - Recently Added list in Add Gear: swiping no longer opens the item. Swipe to reveal delete, tap to confirm. - Categories: renaming a category near the bottom of the list no longer hides behind the keyboard. - Pack, category and filter tabs are higher contrast and match the rest of the app. - Buttons and selected tabs use dark text for better readability. - "All" is now "All Packs" in the pack selector.

Gear entry, rebuilt - Adding gear now starts with a search across our catalog of 5,000+ products — tap once and it's in your closet with weight and category already filled in. Manual entry is still there when you need it. - Search now understands gear types, so "sleeping pad" and "quilt" find what you'd expect. Group trips - See at a glance which of your other packs already holds an item, so nobody ends up carrying two tents. - New "All" view for trips with more than one pack: everything being carried, who has it, and the total weight across the whole group. - Assign a hiker to a pack when you create or rename it. Offline - Items you check off at the trailhead now stick around if you close the app, and sync automatically when you're back in range. Getting started - Redesigned first-run experience. Other improvements - New Settings tab. - New "Hide Packed Gear" setting hides items once you've checked them off in checklist mode. - Fixed: the pack screen could get stuck loading after deleting a pack.

Minor unit system updates & various bug fixes

This update brings three features we've been working on: Calorie Calculator — Packstack now estimates how many calories you'll need per day based on your trip details — distance, elevation gain, terrain, pace, and temperature — combined with your hiker profile. Plan your food carry with confidence instead of guesswork. Hiker Profiles — Create profiles with your height, weight, age, sex, and body type, then assign them to individual packs. Your stats feed into the calorie calculator and keep your loadouts personalized. Trip Details — Trips now capture distance, daily elevation gain, terrain type, pace, and expected temperature range — giving you a complete picture of what you're heading into and powering smarter calorie estimates. Plus, bug fixes.
