Just in case you are wondering, the prior name (SView) has been renamed to SolidInsight to reflect this App's mission more clearly: Help users gain easier and deeper design insights. It is improving fast to serve you better and better. For example, this release brings an exciting treat of so many new enhancements as follows. Enjoy! Now you can unlock all the features in a design for only $0.99, before getting ready for yearly commitments. It helps you fully interrogate highly interesting targets at a much lower spending. Smart phone screens are handy, but too small? You bet! The iPad version has finally arrived. Enjoy much larger screens now to interact with designs at ease. Not ready to install the App yet? No worries. You can now quickly pan, zoom, and rotate designs in a viewport simply in a browser on various devices, without any installation. If you sign in, more tools will be presented. For faster and more powerful experiences, the SolidInsight APP is always recommended. Hard to tell the differences between the homepage thumbnails, especially during back and forth revisions? Now, specific design names have been added below the thumbnails and above user names on the homepage. Oh, holes are everywhere in your designs, right? Need to measure diameters and cylinder center distances to decide machining tools and assembly steps? You got it too. A mold is typically put together vertically. So an exploded view in the vertical direction depicts the assembly relationships more clearly than in all directions simultaneously. Now you can explode assemblies in X, Y, or Z directions individually. Enjoy the flexibility! Wouldn't it be neat to invoke relevant commands on a tree node of a part or a sub-assembly, especially when they are hidden in the viewport? Yes, indeed. Long press a tree node and you now have the frequent tools such as Show/hide, Isolate, Explode and Property on the context panel. The selection and control of individual components from the tree is much easier and more flexible. We get it. Your focus is on the designs in the viewport. So let's make the viewport as big as possible. Every pixel matters, especially on a phone screen! Now the toolbars hide themselves automatically, so that nothing gets in the way of your interactions with the designs. Relevant commands present themselves only when needed. The Property Panel lists insightful data to support the graphics. A key property, a component name, has been added to this release, to help you make informed decisions and save the additional steps to find the names on the tree. Commenting plays a vital role in collaborations. Now it has become much more friendly. You can easily drag and drop existing comments to move them to a more accurate contextual spot, identify them by user profile images and names, scroll up and down to show long texts. Before you ask, let me assure you that 2D drawings enjoy the same support. Sweet! Even better, when you share designs, the saved comments, views, and measurements travel with them, so that your recipients receive not only the design, but also your additional creations for much more efficient collaborations. DWG is the more frequently used CAD format. If you are using 3D DWG, congrats! You can now rotate 3D DWG similar to 3D models to understand them easily from multiple perspectives.
